Thought it was fun up to like after the second boss. Basically the game has this persona like time mechanic. You got to get certain potions by the 10th calendar day as your first big quest. Most actions take a slot out of your daily time. Potion brewing for example takes up to like 1-7 chunks of time depending on how you manage your cauldron. Traveling to the are with all the npc's takes a slot, and hanging with them as well.

Pro's:
Characters are fun. Visuals are great! I like the simple card battling in the shop as well, its all really well dressed up.

Cons:
The game-play loop gets really tiresome. If you're not some kind of pro at it you are basically always starved for cash. You get to travel to an area where all the shops/characters are, which takes a timeslot out of your day. Then you can chill with them, buy ingredients, send characters on gathering missions or upgrade your shop.

Big issue is, that if you want to upgrade any equipment in your shop you need to unequip it, which is ridiculous. The adventures as well to get ingredients are almost more expensive than the ingredients you put in there, I'm sure theirs more ways to play it, but as someone who doesn't like looking things up - I find the game play loop extremely tedious and really not respecting your time.

And don't get me started about the Special orders you can do. The moment I unlocked this, I was barely able to do any of them for most of the time. There's no down side to not doing them, but its also very demotivating to constantly get these timed quests that you cant even get the materials for yet. It got really frustrating.

All in all, I was really enjoying it but then it got to a point where I was constantly missing something. And to get that I needed this and to get this I needed that, and its not difficult, its just a stupid amount of steps to progress so little. It was just not satisfying anymore and felt like a real chore, which is a shame as the presentation is really awesome.

Pretty insane I only paid 45 bucks for this while there is 70 dollar slob on steam that I wouldn't even wipe my cheeks with.

Hands down the best TurnBased RPG I've played since FF10. Also, the music did not have to go THIS hard.

Cant wait to see what sandfall does next.

Feel like i'm doing the same thing all the time, and for some reason its fun as heck.

Awesome little village builder with rogue-like elements.

As many said - The difficulty scaling is really. Really. Bad Its funny, because within my first 5-6 hours I talked fairly high of this game. But you quickly start dreading the thought of winning a game with a super OP deck, knowing that the 50 runs after that are going to be boring as hell, trying to beat this "Unbeatable" deck at the end of the run.

After you beat the game the first time, it basically becomes incredible unfun for most people. It just turns the difficulty up by like 10 times. And you have to fight your previous deck at the end of the run. Which lets be fair - Its a deckbuilder. So high chance its a busted build.

This is such a stupid thing. In games like these, you usually only get so far because you had a busted deck the previous run. And try beating that... This really makes the game so incredible hard to win a run on. And losing most of your runs is fun in slay the spire, after you cranked up the difficulty yourself. But in wildfrost you got no choice.

You can tell quite early in the game, if things have not come together yet - that you are just fudged for this run. Fun.

Not my kind of fun honestly. Might give it another 2 hours see if I change my mind

Despite the server issues. The game plays solid. Closer to what diablo 3 should've been.

But i'll tell you this. The act 1 boss is an absolute mess. Nothing in the game prepares you in the slightest to think about your build. And then the Act 1 boss is just the most insane power spike i've ever seen in a game. No joke. 3 stages, where the first 2 are reletively easy and on the last stage each ability basicaly 2 hits you. So everytime you die, you have to spend another 6 minutes getting through stage 1 and 2. To then be 1 shot in 3, unless you find a way to cheese him.

I've enjoyed most of the game so far, but there is no excuse for such a dumb difficulty spike. Not everybody is a seasoned path of exile player. So not everybody will have a cookie cutter build by this point.

Keeps crashing after 1-2 hours. I love this game square, but its hella unstable.

Running this game very smoothly with the 4 k texture pack on a 1080 TI, yet it crashes now and then, which forces me to save every 5 minutes, which really ruins my experience so far. Never had this issue with Assassins creed origins or Shadow of war.. Which also can be very taxing on the system. In my almost 9 hour play time i've crashed up to 4 times already and it really burns me out to lose progression everytime. Especially on missions where you cant save for a good half an hour. To put this in perspective, with shadow of war I only crashed once in 40 hours.. :/

Does it deserve a thumbs down for that? No, its hands down a amazing game. Awesome story telling and animation of the highest level. Beautifull scenery, and plenty to do in it. Easily my favorite FF game next to 10 and 9.

Although the clunkynes made me laugh the first hour, frustration followed rather soon. It feels like skyrim's combat, but than a little bit better. While it can be really enjoyed with friends , It is not a game I'd like to play for more than n hour now and than. I feel like this games are more based on how good you can mob 1 single person with 3 people, than a good skilled brawler. I am occasionaly lacking the feedback on what is happening or why my abilities dont work. It is obviously because you are interrubted, but it is really hard to tell why/how and when I can start parrying again to deflect a blow. Usualy what happens is; You get interrubted, but you dont know you've been interrubted yet because every skill/atk is so incredible slow that it takes a good second to find out wether he is going to finish it or not. Feels very irresponsive to me.

Would still give it a bit more time if it didn't freeze for me every 30 minutes. And if it freezes while i'm on full screen, I have to reboot my computer to make it back to my desktop. >_< ,

Convinced to buy after the free weekend? Absolutely not.

Ugh.. it got old really quick to have to reload because the dice rolled against you. I bet people absolutely love these games, but man. The amount of luck involved drives me absolutely crazy. Its not a bad game. Absolutely not. Looks very polished. But I'm just saying.. It has some skill requirement, but even the best players will have to spam that reload button because they yet again.. Missed a 80 + % chance shot.

4 hours.. and I was absolutely done with this luck based mechenic. RNG is a part of every game, but since its so fatal here, I do not prefer the game telling me : Hey, you know what? I'm going to let your whole team miss this round so you have to reload :))).

No thanks.
