Let me make one thing perfectly clear. I don't care what gender or ethnicity a character is, as long as it feels genuine and natural. 90% of all the characters could be black women for all I cared, if it made sense. I am not, nor will I ever be racist, or a woman hater. I love anyone, whether they are men or women, black or white. Fewer white men, is NOT bad. Diversity is good. I want everyone to feel immersed and represented. No matter who you are.

Unfortunately, simply talking about these things in a negative manner, is enough to get you blacklisted, no matter if you make a good point or not. But you know what? I'll take my chances.

This game is pathetic.
They made an effort, to put in as few white men as possible. Every important person, beside a few dumb pirate bosses, are black, female or black female. Why? because of woke points. it does not feel natural, but instead as an attempt to get as many points as possible. If they truly wanted diversity, and wanted it to feel fair and transparent, then splitting the ethnicity and gender somewhat, for a decent balance would be all it needed. However, it's now reached a point, where "the fewer white men, the better".

We've gone from bad to worse. We need representation, of course. We need strong female characters, we need black people, Asians, etc. However, it should not be at the expense of others. What is being said here indirectly, is that white man = wrong.

90% of all white men, are guards with helmets on. We are hidden away, while the previously underrepresented selection of people are now in the spotlight. That's incredibly offensive, and not a healthy way to progress this aspect of increased diversity.

Well, as a white man, I can't immerse myself in a game, where my very own being is considered wrong.

Go ahead, laugh and call me names. What I want is true diversity, love and acceptance. Not remove 1 type of people for the other. What I want is for us all to be accepted.

Starfield however, tips the scale the opposite direction, instead of finding a proper balance.

Gameplay is fine.
Story is good.

One of the best games I've ever played. I'm too lazy to type pros and cons, but I had very little to complain about during my 90 hours of gameplay. So many great things to explore and the game kept getting more and more depth as I progressed. Quests were very well made, even side quests.

If you feel it important, yes, the devs made sure to push as much diversity into the game as possible, as well as a transgender. So much so it doesnt feel natural, but done so to appease certain sensitive people.

I would definately give this game 10/10.

Overall? I think this game is an absolute gem. I can easily see myself get 100-200 hours. Replayability is great. However, I also acknowledge this isn't a game for everyone.

My first impression was mixed. Combat was tricky to get used to, despite being a dark souls/elden ring veteran. At times this game can be VERY frustrating. However, I already knew that based on reviews. So I decided to ignore my frustrations, and keep going. Quite frankly, the more I pushed on, the more I enjoyed the game. Now I can't stop playing.

Pros:
- Interesting story (of course subjective)
- World looks gorgerous
- Diverse build options
- Combat is fun once you get the hang of it
- Replayability!
- Plenty of locations to explore/exploration is highly rewarding
- Music is fantastic
- Challenging, but rewards persistance
- Always something to do
- Co op / split screen
- Lots of cool loot, and equipments
- Good crafting system
- Mod support
- Death is only a setback. You generally don't lose your stuff. If that isn't challening enough, there is a hardcore mode.

Cons:
- World can feel empty (though that seems to be an engine limitation)
- Challenging (It can be frustrating, and discouraging)
- Terrain tears, especially in the first map (Very much hope they fix that)

This is a review based on my perspective. I do recommend this game if you like survival RPGs. But I must stress; be persistant, and dont be afraid to communicate with the community! The game can have a big learning curve, but it's very satisfying to reach the top of that.
