Constantly begging people to join my ass for this game.

It's a fun game. The four classes all serve different purposes both to the player themselves and to whatever team you're stuck with. Engineer is really good at holding certain points with his Sentry, alongside placing platforms for him and other players to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Gunner has horrible mobility but is an absolute powerhouse. Driller does exactly what his title suggests. And while Scout isn't as strong compared to the rest, he has amazing mobility with his Grappling Hook, and can navigate caves with ease.

Mission Variety is surprisingly large. It'll go from, "We need a big helping of Morkite, go digging for it." to "Set up machines to extract Oil from the ground and maintain them." to "We need to mine this really strong rock to get it's juicy insides, but to do that you must escort and maintain this massive drill that will tunnel us directly to it."

It's a surprisingly diverse mission set and there's a lot more I apparently haven't seen. Not to mention the extra content from events that can happen inbetween missions, or weird Hazards that change up how said mission will play out. One mission may take 10 minutes, the next could take an hour. Depends on the length of the mission itself and how willing you are to do the extra stuff on the side.

Teamwork is very fun to accomplish in all these missions and despite the fact I'm on the other side of the planet with severe ping issues when playing with friends, it works SURPRISINGLY WELL! I don't feel like I'm in purgatory on high ping. Other games like Team Fortress 2 tend to be borderline impossible to play on high pings for reasons to do with how they set up their online functionality.

When the yearning for the mines cannot be accompanied, Solo play is still very much possible.
Scout class is especially nice for going on your own, but the rest of the classes function very well independently too.
You're even handed a Drone in solo for barking orders too. It can dig tunnels for you, mine ores for you, pelt rocks at your enemies and revive you when you do something moronic. (You will.) It's very easy to take control of it too.

Funny dwarves chugging down ale and screaming dumbassery despite their Mission Control's warnings is also very fun without being too ear-gratey or outright distracting. It's a very nice vibe actually.

Combine all this with a very passionate Dev Team that prioritises more actual content updates over shilling cosmetics for eternity, a lack of Anti-Cheat beating your PC to death, the fact that while this game treats itself like a Live-Service, everything about the game is actually very localised and could keep going even after the game is done and dusted, built-in Mod Support with it's own page to install mods directly from the game-

I'd personally say this game is a must-have by default. I love every bit of it. This game's a gem.

It's a fun game but I wouldn't say you should expect anything deep. Story is incredibly light and I'm pretty sure it's more there just as a tutorial, combat is incredibly basic. I set enemy encounters incredibly high at least and I have yet to have died. (I am not good at videogames)

There's things to do like commanding a massive ship with a crew and everything, managing a town and making sure they don't die or go into debt, and being a travelling merchant exploiting the market, but it's all really surface level stuff. 'Exploiting the market' involves going to a galaxy that sells stuff really cheap and then going to another that desperately needs said stuff and will do anything for it.

It's more like a ""Zen"" exploration game. The seamless transitions from space to planet work surprisingly well, and planet diversity is pretty large. There's a big chunk of things to encounter but none of them are exactly too threatening.

It can also be a bit laggy and buggy at times, there's some corrupted stuff on the worlds I play on. But that can easily be fixed by walking away and pretending it's not there.

No child labour unlike Starbound. 10/10

A great visual of how my grandpa got to school back in the year 1776, and a taste of the elden days, when we couldn't simply use our Musk approved Xocket Xoots to fly over to the XcDonalds.

As someone who doesn't have Toby Fox's social media plastered to my head like a visor 24/7, I think that this game is really good and fun and sometimes funny enough to make me cackle like a witch and I've thunk this thought since I played it back in 2018.

Honestly I've personally grown to really despise this game despite trying to enjoy it, and I wouldn't write a review on the game because of that, but I'm doing this because of those creepy EULA Guidelines and the sus as ♥♥♥♥ amount of data they're intending on collecting. That's rancid.

If I knew about it while I was thinking about this game I woulda never bought it in the first place.
Thanks Randy.

This game could've been so much better than it is right now if the Devs and Writers among everybody else actually had time to really plan it out, but for what we got, especially after the updates; This game's really solid.

Heavily dependent on whether or not you have friends obviously but it's alright by itself.
Ran smooth for a bit but lags for reasons unknown.

Seems severely dependent on QOL Mods to even understand how things function but very fun otherwise. (It's another Wikipedia game because the item descriptions don't explain jack by default)
Had a few rough starts because Commando/Huntress aren't exactly interesting at all but me like Bandit and Acrid.
