Overall - I enjoy this game, but its lacking in a lot of depth. It has super satisfying shooter elements that just feel good. On the other hand: it lacks story elements, "end game" content consists of sortie missions, the steel path, exploiter orb, vault runs, and Eidelons. The last of which can only be done during specific times for a set duration.

For new players, the game is overwhelming with so much to do and focus on that it is almost unmanageable. It would help to be given a more specific path through quests, missions, or bonuses to aid in players reaching mastery level 10 or higher.

For veterans, the new content almost always ties into other content that may have been less enjoyable. Certain weapons and frames to complete the collection? Better dust off that K-drive.

The developers do a good job to strike balance, find ways to make the old and discarded weapons relevant again, and leave you looking for better ways to be efficient.

The community is overall fantastic with many great content creators putting out information to help aid players in improving their frames, weapons, and mod combinations who have less time to play the game.

With mastery rank being the primary way to "level" in the game, you are required to level up everything to a minimum of level 30 in order to progress mastery rank higher and higher. This comes with timelocked crafting and vaulted frames, weapons, and companions. This draws out playing over a longer duration.

If you enjoy shooters, an inconsistent amount of time to play, and just want to have a fun experience with friends, this game can be very fun. If you want something like destiny with an overarching story and longer missions, you may want to look somewhere else.

After a single adventure into the game I feel this is a very true adaptation of the board game without the messy setup and cleanup.

The combat decks stay relatively behind the scenes and the monster decks are very clearly shown between each round.

A tutorial would be invaluable for several of the cards attacks and movements (Spellweaver's Impaling Eruption the first that springs to mind), but they were very transparent with the limited functionality of the game on day 1 of early access.

However, with experience playing the game the cards operated as expected. If you are unfamiliar with the board game it would be recommended to go to boardgamegeek and review the cards of the character decks to see how they can operate.

Some Cons to the game:
- There were a few too many confirmation boxes for my liking
- Limited to two player variant only (early access gripe)
- You do not select each character currently, but rather the combination of the characters (unsure if this will change in future iterations as the additional characters are added)

Overall I'm eager to see the upcoming releases and the mods that will ultimately be added to the game.

An addictive base-builder with a bit of a steep learning curve. While it is somewhat punishing to learn little tricks to the game, the community is amazing and it is extremely rewarding to make each base last a little longer than the last.

At the same time I find myself hating this game, as playing it late at night I go to bed thinking about what I want to get done the next time I play the game and lose sleep when I could be playing this game.

A great couch co-op game. Probably perfect for two players, but can play up to four. Had as much fun watching as I did playing.

Levels all have some unique element to them. Making no consistent strategy for how you need to handle the orders.
