This is fun both in coop and solo play, but it is definitely a game where you can die on the drop of a dime due to bad luck and then have to start over again. It gets somewhat easier when you have all of the locations, mini events, and classes unlocked, but that takes time and many do-overs. If that doesn't sound like your type of game then move along, but if it is, you won't be disappointed. I don't usually enjoy these types of games (turn based and luck based) but I've kept coming back to this throughout the years to give another crack at it, and I have fun every time.

Early Access Review
Feels very similar to Valheim in terms of combat / game mechanics. The graphics are very nice and the game seems optimized well enough. The NPCs can be somewhat annoying as they will continually mill around and make noises, but the gameplay itself is very solid and the shroud is an interesting mechanic. The map, while certainly not as big as Valheim, is hand built, not procedurally generated, and is quite expansive. The build system is a bit complicated, but not difficult to get used to, and the story is interesting enough to keep you hooked. The developers are continually adding additional content which is a huge plus. Definitely would recommend!

I 100%'d this on PS4 when it first came out, and have since completed it a quite a number of times. The story is absolutely captivating, the musical score is fantastic, the graphics very pretty, and the gameplay loop is not too difficult or too grindy that it becomes unfun. This remastered edition takes the original game and ratchet's the graphics up even more. I cannot recommend this enough.

Because of what it is, this game will invariably get compared to the first one. There are certainly things about the first one that IMHO were better, but this is a standalone game, and it is excellent. A lot of the negative reviews are from people (perhaps rightly) disgruntled that the game came out in early access in a very bare bones state. That is no longer the case and at least 90% of the missing features that people complained about have been added back to the game.

That graphics are superb, and the gameplay loop is much the same as the first game, the story is intriguing enough to keep you following along, and the ambiance is second to none. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed playing through this short introductory game. The graphics and the atmosphere are quite lovely, and the puzzles are not too difficult. The story was interesting enough to keep me hooked until the end. I was really looking forward to the next chapter being released but sadly it looks like the developer may have moved on and we may never get the next chapter. Nevertheless, it's hard to beat a free (albeit short) well polished experience.

Good game, tight platformer with a badass soundtrack. However, my steam key was revoked without explanation after having this game in my library for a couple of years from a legitimate purchase. This is new territory for me, as I've never had a purchased game forcibly removed from my library before. It has since been added back, but if it happened once it can happen again, and IMO should never happen or have happened for any reason whatsoever, so I'm leaving this negative review. Buyer beware.

Mankind Divided is IMHO the best Deus Ex game in the series. It continues almost directly after Human Revolution finished and is clearly a labor of love from Eidos Montreal. It does leave the story unfinished, which is a shame. Adam Jensen deserved a proper ending, but it was not unsatisfying to me. The graphics are still superb even by 2025 standards.

I grew up playing the Descent trilogy, and IMHO Descent ][ is the best of the series. More robots, bigger levels, more weapons, varied AI behaviour, cutscenes, and didn't suffer from some of the issues that plagued D3. What's not to love?

Material Defender, prepare for Descent!
