Update: You will see a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and moaning of people giving kneejerk negative reviews based on some single ability change they don't like. Please ignore them. The fact that the devs are willing to break the meta is a GOOD thing. It would be so easy for games like this to become stale otherwise. They frequently revert changes within a week if they see they aren't fun or aren't having the intended effect. Too many people just don't want to put in any effort to learn new strategies, and immediately want to rip into devs for changing things. Look at Sheriff, they tried something new, it turned out too powerful, and it got changed back within the week. It's great to give feedback on changes like this to help with balance... giving a negative review over something like that is just ridiculous.
So I haven't played town of salem. My mmo guild would occasionally play Mafia while farming, and there's a few tabletops that I play that have similar elements (Shadows over Camelot, The Resistance). I absolutely love this game. I feel like having a conversion mechanic taking precedence over straight murder really adds a lot of depth. Most classes are fun, and useful at least some of the time, and it seems like devs are more than willing to tinker with the classes that aren't to give them a little more oomph. If you like Mafia-style games, I'd say this is one worth giving a shot. Playerbase is constantly growing, and even when slow with <300 on, games do not take long to find.

Well, thank you for the kind words. Sadly, since my son has hit pre-school age and then kindergarten, i just haven't had time to dip my feet back into ToL or realy ANY pc games. I will always have a soft spot for ToL, though, and i hope it continues on for a long time!
