Early Access Review
First of all, This game was so extrememly overhyped when it was released, and never seemed to live up to anyones expectations. It has been in alpha for 3 years and honestly the fact that the mod STILL years later has more features than the standalone game is absolute ridicule. There is still not a single thing that encourages players not to kill others on sight which was a promised implementaion along with countless other features which are still not in the game. And no matter how much the devs will try and convince us otherwise, the game at its core is broken and will surely die out in another few years.
In conclusion: I have had some great times on Dayz, and I will always remember them, but I believe this game is nothing like what is was promised to be, and it probably never will be. Buying it now will most likely be a waste of your money and at some point you will regret it, thanks for reading.

Pros: Can be enjoyable if You interact with players, realistic living system (eating, drinking, etc) loads of cool guns, Really fun when playing with a group of friends

Cons: Millions upon millions of bugs and glitches, 80% of all people will shoot you on sight without a thought because there is no reason not to, loot spawns are STILL inconsistent and bugged, vehicles are EXTREMELY glitchy, combat system is extremely flawed due to desync (can't remember the last battle i had without someone teleporting behind a wall), and zombies are STILL glitchy and inconsistent.

So you bought into an Early Access project actively in the development cycle with ludicrous expectations. While play/testing the current build of said project of course it will have bugs/glitches and incomplete mechanics, systems and features. This isn't some pre-order (Early Access) title and you should be looking at it from a technical standpoint for the simple fact it's in development, because your expectations as a consumer are ridiculous as I've explained below, with your comparison of a released title (which went through a development cycle, so it could become feature complete) so modifications could be created on that released title ArmA II.

I think you have my ideas confused. I'm not looking at these issues from a technical standpoint, I'm looking at them from a consumers point of view. You expect certain things from a game when you buy it and the point i was trying to convey is that it is not living up to the expectations.

"It has been in alpha for 3 years"

3 years plus because of many first iterations of new tech, implementations, testing and the development of the Enfusion engine (Game engine development can take years alone). It’s not uncommon for Alpha phases to last 3-5x the length of Beta and the Beta sometimes only lasting up to a couple of months with less major iterations while it moves towards becoming feature complete and ensure release readiness.

"honestly the fact that the mod STILL years later has more features than the standalone game is absolute ridicule."

Obviously the mod benefits from the simple fact it functions off of the released Arma title/s which operates on a fully developed and functional game-engine (RV), while having a vast library of assets and content both official or community created over the years.

I'm sorry but nothing you've suggested makes any logical sense, from the modification (mod) comparison you've made to developing a project and the timescale of the development cycle.
