I suggest that because many of the vandalism edits are not a simple replacement of the name, but the addition of a phrase such as "formerly known as Chuck" or "born as Chuck". This vandalism has affected 20 or so biographical articles and even Sneed, Arkansas. I have semi-protected or PC protected some of the articles, but I wish that a more general prohibition of this edit - which is always vandalism and never legitimate - could be arranged.
