This game rules! I was happy when it ended and felt satisfied, and then I realized I just beat the first level. So hurray, more game!

Its more Indiana Jones! The writing is less engaging but the puzzles are fun and the ending is awesome.

Similar to Atomicrops, the main issue with these two games is that the incredible art style distracts you from what is trying to kill you on screen. For me, I'm not that sweaty. On hard difficulties I bet I would learn to hate this game. I wish that everything that hurt you had some sort of obvious red outline, but then the game wouldn't look as good. So instead, you will have to touch everything to find out if this spikey-ball is something that hurts you, or something you can hit to hurt others.

updated review:
Comment-er adds that my gripe is avoidable! I did die a few times in this segment but it was the only challenge I ran into. The rest of the game was smooth. Puzzles were tuned perfectly, I never looked for a guide or felt too lost but I never instantly 'got it' either. Try this out!

old review:
Nearly Perfect!

My one small gripe is the inconsistency with a particular enemy in a segment near the end of the game that requires you to be close to it to stun it. I think the intention is that while you're burning it, they wont hit you. That isnt the case, and you end up having to tank hits and rely on heals. This feels unintentional and lanky. Additionally, the monster can camp the fireplace you sneak into. Another guaranteed spank. These are small nitpicks but I did find it frustrating because the rest of the game is very polished!

I play this with my parents and husband every Friday and we do two missions each time. It's been great.

Crucify me. I'm on the right side of history. Ray tracing lighting is the GenAI of graphic tech. A gimmick for lazy grifters. Something no one asked for now pushed on consumers and we are forced to eat it. The way every phone has a 'smart ai' and 'generated art apps' built in even though no one gaf's- identical to this forced RTX ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You guys pretend to know and care because you've been sold that the more accurate doomguys helmet reflects a gib the more epic your experience is- but deep down you know this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Games should get easier to run. Games should be visually clearer. We are regressing. This isn't like when HL2 came out and everyone had to upgrade. Those were innovations in physics and things that made the experience better.

Walk up to a metallic surface, look at the fur on the cape against the landscape. Strafe left and right while staring at a light source. There is artifacting worse than a 480p YouTube video of Minecraft rain from 2011.

I'd ♥♥♥♥♥♥ end my life if I was on the art team sweating out these beautiful worlds and characters only to see the final product turn into noisy sludge. The tech team should be embarrassed and stop sniffing Nvidia's farts.

ID use to impress me so much. The things they did with RAGE, even all the way back to the OG games. There's a legacy thats streak has ended now with this game.

Everything about this game is amazing except for TWO THINGS.
1. Subtitle Options.
I wish there was an option for only subtitles for the non-native language. I hate subtitles in games, they're distracting, but there are long latin or polish speaking segments. Without subtitles, you get nothing. With subtitles, you get everything.
2. Chance to Change Armor.
Many times you won't be wearing your armour. You'll talk to a character and be thrown into a cutscene, something happens, then you're up against 4 men and you never got to swap your armour. As of now, the only work around is anytime you talk to someone that you have a hunch will start combat, you gotta put armour on before you talk to them. I don't think you should be able to swap outfits inside combat, but maybe allow us to right when a cutscene ends?

This game is a masterpiece. I haven't felt this engaged since RDR2 or this whimsied since Oblivion

Starting with the negative. I have a gaming laptop and the VRAM requirements were a depressing shock to me. The game looks decent without but lighting and pop in are apparent, especially in the penultimate level. I think its clear they spent a lot of time prioritizing the full path tracing mode. An issue I have with ray tracing in general is the noise. There is great video documentation about this, but essentially it makes your visuals muddy and splotchy. The shadows are like a rash on this game.

But thats it. Now for the good!

This is absolutely the best film series tie in game ever. It expands on everything Indie in a way only a game could. You wouldn't want to read a book or watch a movie about some of these small adventures. You wouldn't want to watch a Disney+ show of Indie walking around Gizeh for 4 hours taking photos, or searching the Vatican for a lost cat. Only a game can make this fun. You just get to live as Indie.

I've grown exhausted with AAA games as of late. It feels they're all either Souls-like or Ubisoft-like or NaughtyDog-like. This is its own thing! It really is like a first person point-and-click. The hand-to-hand combat doesn't need depth because its just fun. The stealth is basic and thats awesome. Everything is just geared to having the most fun. You don't pick up whips with different rarities, you don't spend currency to increase your armor level, you don't spend hours in menus figuring out skill trees. The best stuff is the lack of crap. The game is LEAN and CLEAN. It has a specific vision and nails it 100%.

I'm 100%ing the game and I never do this. The way you can purchase information in the game is brilliant. It allows you to explore on your own, then when you are ready you can buy a book to find the rest of the stuff you need. I'll say that the menu for looking at info is sort of cumbersome. Once you play you'll see. The 'Field Notes' only covers non-story notes and you end up having to flip thru a lot of pages to double triple check you've gotten everything.

Tl;dr The game is an excercise in restraint, focuses on fun, and has an epic ending only a videogame can provide. It's refreshing to see so much money on screen for something that isn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The only two team modes are quite cumbersome. Bounce is fascinating and could be fun but the first experience players will get with this will be one of the worst Jackbox has to offer. Overwhelming, confusing, and loud buzzer noises when you inevitabley screw up. First impressions are important, no one wants to try Bounce again! The other team mode is Squares. This one is better but ultimately it feels less strategic and more random. What would you consider as a 34-48 on 'Things you see in the dark' ? Impossible to say.

HiLo is the best because of its simplicity but its not a team game. Everyone makes the comparison to family feud but there is nothing resembling that format.
I would love a simple 'Top 10 answers' team mode. Seems like an obvious mode! GIVE IT TO US!!
