Introduction:
When I think about FPS games, there is one title that comes to mind, that being DOOM. DOOM is a game that kickstarted the FPS genre and revolutionized the entire video game industry. While there's no denying this game's impact on gaming, there is one question that's most important: Is DOOM worth playing in today's age?

Review:
DOOM is an FPS game where you play as a lone space marine who finds himself stranded and has to escape by ripping and tearing demons. The story doesn't really matter as what's more important is fast-paced gameplay, something that DOOM is full of.

DOOM's gameplay is simplistic, yet manages to be fun, engaging and satisfying. The weapons Doomguy utilizes are also varied, each having unique advantages against certain enemies. The only issue I have with the gameplay is the repetitiveness, but besides that, it's great.

Presentation-wise, DOOM also succeeds. The graphics, while dated, were very impressive upon the game's release and carry a unique charm. The OST composed by Bobby Prince is also legendary with a perfect blend of atmospheric grunge and heavy metal.

Conclusion:
In general, DOOM is a fantastic experience that I can confidently call one of my favorite video games of all time. The fast-paced gameplay, unique visuals and memorable soundtrack sets DOOM as a must-play for anybody who calls themselves a gamer and proves that old can still remain gold.
