I did not have to go ham and buy all the DLCs but I did. By the time of writing this, I have all but Woolhaven (and the soundtrack OSTs).

Now, I usually do not like rougelites knowing I suck at it but Cult of the Lamb has a curve that can still be lenient and harsh depending how you suck as I do. The important part is that I was allowed to be more flexible with my choices when starting out and so far with my second save at least, the management with villagers and the rougelite aspect trained my brain to be aware of patterns and cuddle with the little creachers.

I'm not exactly in endgame yet but I already had so much fun when I get to explore at my own pace but also be aware of time limits of quests for little members to adopt into the cult. My priority was to mostly make my cult as cute as possible I admit I mismanage a lot of things ingame but it's easy to recover once you remember where the items you need.

I'd say I'll come back again once I'm pretty good to sacrifice the senior to the cult.

With at least several hours, I can say I have an addiction. Already in Act 3 and I'm mentally unprepared with my Bard and I accidentally done so many awful things... anyway, pick bard you won't regret it.

Also I killed a vampire instantly as a monk... don't worry he's at peace. He doesn't know I did it...

Started off nicely one day on Christmas...

*boom*

A friend just had to gift me Rimworld after a year of me saying I cannot play Rimworld if I don't own one and I am keeping a digital budget at hands. Guess I am writing a review on it.

Rimworld seems just typical for something called a story generator you think this is like the Sims series simulating their life. Well, it is but add in dangers, robots, storytellers like Cassandra's 'balance' (IS A LIE) and mods that the community made that could make this gameplay a lot... crazier and something to consider as a sim of building aesthetics put into question after a bunch of raids happening.

Got my favourite kiddos married, suddenly one day, I didn't know that one of my character decided to make someone her son, ok that's fine. The son finally married to the girl of her dreams, at some point his mom flirted with her daughter-in-law and later on the daughter-in-law and the mom had a fight.

What is life I spent 101 hours on this non-stop just because someone told me to play Rimworld. Are you happy now that I got a hyper-addiction on this game?

The artbook is very much worth it's own price. For having actually an outstanding +200 pages per volume (mind that there is two volumes for this one book), I think it's really great!

Unfortunately, I kind of wished there was more into lore for the side receptions created in Library of Ruina's game and frequent pages of repetitive characters such as Xiao could have placed into few pages but it be understandable with the major sprites but I can't blame them for that as majority of the book attempts to cover the main characters first and the receptions that are major to the game.

The Library is a closed space with only books to give knowledge. Perhaps in the future games we get to know more about the City no less.

Early Access Review
As much as I like to admit, I would have been in both neutral side for the game. Both dislike and likes can be found plenty but I still admire dedication for Project Moon to actually do their best on this game.

Plot and Lore:
Plot is pretty simple, it continues from the main story of Lobotomy Corporation and you're there to play as Librarians to achieve Angela's goal to become human. You get to see the outside world, City that was not mentioned in the game earlier on when you are managing a whole corporation itself. You get to see everything that the City is from the lower Fixers to the higher-ups like the Thumb. Just collecting their books and reading them from the shelves you are able to get an idea what ideal world they planned for their own universe and I think that is a great achievement they had done to expand everything they got. Even Distortions get some explanations making it pretty unique to only this world.

The ending plot is... a bit unexpected... I felt there was something missing that Project Moon could've added a bit of extra instead of making efforts all lost for us players who played this more than several hours of gameplay grinding and stressing out on it only for an ending that felt like sort of empty (or that's just probably what I was thinking when I was looking through the ending every one last bit but that's what the developers decided to do either way, I think they could use Library of Ruina a way to learn the next time they plan to develop a new game like LC 2 or LC: B. I don't mind if I hate it or not but I felt like it's a way to improvements in the future.

Gameplay:
It's a card game what to expect even if you don't play it, you'll somehow just get used of it once you understand even if you're not a person who likes it. Unlike Lobotomy Corporation with a tutorial from the main menu, the problem with Library of Ruina is that their is no tutorials other than a manual being thrown at you at some part of the scenes from the beginning and you have to end up reading most of it to understand it and doing decks is all trial and error though that's the beauty of learning.
Grinding system for books is pretty alright. From what I heard, people previously had a grinding system to level up books which I think that would have been more tedious than the current one which I am happy they did change it when I first bought the game especially the bugs improvements and speed of the game thanks to their prequel, they did plenty of improvements.

Other Stuff:
The ability to change heights, customise librarians (nuggets) and even their appearance for outfits without a price is wonderful. The fact you can do more in this customisation is a blessing especially for us, agent lovers who loved their characters very much from Lobotomy Corporation. Of course, the custom hair, eyes, mouth and eyebrows are there the same as Lobotomy. The best part is the availablity of workshop mods that allows people to do custom appearances which yes I have made a few though I cannot wait for Project Moon to implement a way to do custom receptions.

Would have really wished EGO Pages are exactly like EGO suits where librarians can just wear it anytime but being exclusive itself, the workshop mods did their jobs so it wouldn't matter much in my opinion. There are even some abnormalities who never gotten released in this game as well so I am sort of disappointed they could add a bit more somewhere...

[EDIT: Thanks to Project Moon mentioning they foreshadowing Abnormalities in their details on Twitter, I kind of understand but it should have been executed a little better.]

Though at most... can I just say the Battle Symbols seemed a bit useless? Although they gave a small boost, compared to Lobotomy Corporation, EGO Gifts are very meaningful and useful that most people would be fine grinding it for the importance and special abilities it has. Battle Symbols seems just like a challenge instead and the stuff isn't anything interesting in mind; not even one special ability is in any of those symbols. It's more of fashion-wise so it wouldn't impact much on gameplay... I guess it's just an achievement.

Overall:
I just have mixed feelings that's all. I love Project Moon works and such in lore but it's just hard accepting something's missing in Library of Ruina they could have done more somewhere compared to the other works they have done but I hope for the better that Project Moon can do better and improve in their next game project. Good luck, Project Moon!~

Based on the nature of this game, it can be really complex at first. There are no instructions available and you're pretty much on your own to understand the whole thing by making it worse or going through tutorials on the internet to find out you're suppose to do something like that and realise your mistakes after a few days later.

Oxygen Not Included is a game for you to try understanding the whole concept by reading carefully and figuring out piece by piece then build your place and make the whole area breathable and livable. Initially when I played it, I mostly did it blindly so take a minor guess what happened to my dupes? All are soaked due to my mistakes on how to deal with piping. Second attempt, I finally able to do it but guess what happened this time? Apparently blocking so many areas with certain insulation actually decreased breathable oxygen; my water stocks are dried out (+ fishes are dead thanks to that) and the lack of food is decreasing because I still do not know how to grow plants.

No kidding, I still don't know how to grow plants after day 90 as the air and pressure seemed unsuitable (and I still don't know how to deal with that for my second try though I am still surprised they are still okay). Well, until the fact there is suddenly dupes dealing with starvation and getting stressed out from researching something so goodbye to my second attempt. I never knew I am pretty bad at wiring so I can't help but to acknowledge my building skills is bad as well thanks to this game and accidentally drowning dupes.

Basically in summary, everything became chaotic in my attempts.

Tip of the day: Do watch tutorials and if you plan to do it blindly; it'll be a great experience to know how it can go downhill very quickly.

Overall I enjoyed this game although the fact it can end up stressing me out in the beginning, just a few times can help learn the whole concept and you'll do better every round. You'll start to build better and then figuring out how to make the layout. I also should thank someone who recommended me this game. Was pretty entertaining and you can lose track of time.

Unlike the previous visual novel, 'Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star' takes place before the incident in BBL from the original. As its own separate visual novel, it is not as similar to 'dating birds' if that's what people got this for. Do ensure to finish Hatoful Boyfriend before playing this because there will be a lot of information that came from the previous visual novel you will not understand if you didn't check it first.

As a normal visual novel like this, you don't get plenty of options (which I find out after a while which would make sense why isn't there many save slots like the previous installment). Less dating birds and more of getting information on the bird characters you barely had any idea they existed or additional topics on the extend environment they are in. That is... if you are into mostly plot-related stories like myself. I don't go for most dating sims so this had been the perfect visual novel to spare my time a little bit.

I only had wished that the moment a character is talking about what occurred (e.g: their time when they spoke to a certain bird character) during that time didn't put all the double quotes in the whole text box. Made it very confusing who was originally talking. There are a few grammatical errors (or that is what I remembered) but the text aren't unreadable.

Though, I enjoyed my time reading the whole visual novel (the humour, the dark themes and extra parts such as the radio talk show... almost everything, surprised about the extras in the gallery too!) especially the extra stories that came with human forms which I am surprised, they are actually real made expressive sprites. Though the best warning I can give to anyone is that if someone doesn't take sensitive topics lightly (mostly trigger warning mentions such as s/h), I would avoid buying or giving this to anyone as a gift who aren't good handling these topics.

I bought this as a bundle (+ DLC) during Christmas sales so I do recommend getting it as a sale holiday bundle (better if it were near Christmas because why not?) when possible. It'll be much worth it to do that.

As simple as possible, you'd think it be crazy to date birds in the visual novel (although the fact there are other visual novels that do not make sense equal to this) but that is... kind of one reason why people would buy it... the other reason would have to be about the underlying story in this dating sim game.

The characters shown are very likable and some being stereotypical but you'll start to like them overtime memorising who is who. Quirkiness is something you cannot avoid in this game so if you are looking for a serious game, you'll have to bare the facts you'll have to go through a lot of things before you can go to that route you wanted.

Though what I dislike is the repetitive nature of having to go through 14 routes in order to get the truthful ending (includes the endings that have normal and true) but it shouldn't take too long to click 'fast-forward' and it wasn't that very boring to read it again in my opinion. I mostly can read pretty quickly.

The secret part of the route story is very interesting as you get to know the darker side which I have to say, I did end up being very occupied reading every last information but it's not pretty exciting the fact the decisions made don't affect the ending as there is only one either way. Would have been nice if there is another ending that could have become an alternative to that.

Overall, I say... if you're into birds or this 'one story', it would be a pretty good bargain if you bought it on sale. Ah, why not buy the soundtrack and the Holiday version as well when you can? It'll be worthy your time.

If you were the type to consider liking story lore along with getting an idea what the concepts of ProjectMoon's ideal world creation inside the corporation but at least have the patience to work around this monster simulator without guides, you will find this game fun and panic rush. Lobotomy Corporation in summary lets you, the manager (or it's more or less your employees you will be hiring) who is gaining the information and understanding their concepts on how they work. Taking care of them, feeding them, communicating and etc. to gain energy and succeed in getting to the next day. It can be very redundant and boring to some people if you wish to get to a certain ending but overall, it is not so bad if you can bare it.

The good side is able to keep certain things when you restart (reset is a different case) so it's not the end of the world to do it all over again. How many times did I restart? Perhaps it was my 10th run now... could not remember at the moment.

What I perhaps will not agree is the pricing which is better to get it on sale if you are able to. That is what I did which saves a lot. Lobotomy Corporation also can happen to cause a few memory leaks so I would let yourself consider whether your laptop would be fine with it or not. It is nothing too major as long you don't tamper something on it.
