The story hooks you up from the first moment and doesn’t tell you too much, which is good, I like a good mystery.
The base gameplay is pretty addictive too honestly, there’s always something new introduced, wherever it is a new terrain, a new set of accessories that changes the gameplay a bit or a new type of enemy. Lots of mails, collectibles etc that you can spend a lot of your time on.
At the current state after the “directors cut” upgrade even the hardest moments that could be considered very tedious by some were made much easier and more efficient.
After finishing it I was extremely pleased with it, a piece of art honestly.
The only thing that might be perfected is the pacing, but it wasn’t bothersome or anything like that. I expect Kojima to improve the pacing in the sequel.
Nonetheless, an extraordinary experience that really delivers when you beat it. 10/10
