I've only played RedSec and Gauntlet, thus my review doesn't reflect the total package.

Gauntlet is straight out a boring affair. At first, the idea of different objectives seems interesting, but it quickly devolves into randomness or boring ones, such as the vehicles focused objectives. I feel the general gameplay of BF doesn't suit a mode like this.

RedSec is a mixed bag. For starters, it doesn't add anything interesting to the formula. The access to cards and the classes add a little bit of strategy, but some classes don't do much (such as Assault). If you add that the hit registration and TTK favors SMG and large magazines, then you quickly guess how the meta is going to be.
The map also has a lot of big areas surrounded by very simple camping spots that produce some very easy frags for the team defending. It's very easy to get third partied in this mode.

Other general issues are the menus, which are very unresponsive, specially when loading a rematch. The netcode goes to hell way too often for a game that is becoming more and more reflex based. Guns feel very samey between each other or even similar classes (carbines vs assault rifles), and the customization isn't there. The game pushes you to get the next big season pass that doesn't add anything to your weapon roster.

As for me current experience, I can't recommend it. If the gunplay and the rest of the issues extend to the main game, I don't think I can recommend it. There are better Battle Royale experiences, if you are looking for one.

This is one of those games you can just played very relaxed, but they also provide some lovely story about life. It's short, but I totally recommend it.

Simple, yet touching.

This game is certainly something unique. Leaving aside the things that people know at this point, like the small team or the fact that this is the studio's first game, this is a fantastic title.

It's imaginative, deep, and magical. The combat system is flashy and precise. The pictos system reminds me a little of Final Fantasy VIII and IX. You can build the party as much as you want. There are way more games that the team used for inspiration, such as Legend of Dragoon, Souls games, and more. It's a journey you need to take, even if you don't like RPGs.

I'm happy a game like this exists. It delivered way more that I expected. It's one of those games you take with you even after you see the credits roll.

Absolutely recommended.

In a way, I think giving a review to Disco Elysium is a disservice. This game is so deep, interesting, and complex that I don't think I can properly describe it. At the same time, it's a game that rewards the player actions. My experience with it can be completely different to yours. What I can say is that this game has made me think about life, the future and past. It's a deeply engrossing experience from start to finish.

It's not for everyone though. The game is, at its core, a point and click with tabletop RPG elements. There's almost no action. If you really want to be descriptive about it: the game is mostly a linear story, with several side quests that can give you different endings. Yet, what a story it is.

Sadly, due to a little bit of publisher intervention and a part of the developers, we won't see another Disco Elysium anytime soon. Multiple studios were formed from former devs, so at best we'll get a spiritual successor.

Even though you might hate it, I would still strongly recommend you to experience Disco Elysium and make up your own conclusions. It's one of those games that could take you for a wild ride.

There were different times back then. After the success of Final Fantasy VII, the team wanted to do something new, and they did. At times, they took the game too far.

Final Fantasy VIII is an ambitious title: from the graphics, bombastic opening and confusing story (at times). I remember playing the game back on release and really enjoying the combat system, however, I never finished it.

Now, years later, I can fully understand what they were trying to do. The level up system is very unique, although very broken for a game like this. You can easily go to the extremes: the game can become unplayable or excessively easy. I totally recommend a guide. Money also works differently because you have a "salary", which you can increase through a quiz. It's all very bizarre for this type of game. Nevertheless, I do enjoy how much you can customize your characters. But the Junction System is a very divisive topic in the FF community.

The presentation is mixed in this remaster. It has great looking characters, but the backgrounds and FMVs look awful. You need to mod the game to get the most out of it.

As for the story, it has its moments. It does go bonkers at the end. I can see why so many people have made theories about this gone. As for me? I really enjoyed Squall development. Not all characters get their spot, as other FFs, so you are bound to find some that are only there to fill the quota of party members.

Overall, it was a great experience. I commend Squaresoft for trying something to bold. I don't think you should skip this one. I had fun with the system, and the cinematic aspects of the game are extremely well done, even if the remaster doesn't make them justice. It's a game developed by a company at the peak of their game. And whether you like it or not, it will leave an impression on you.

If you haven't played this game, you owe it to yourself. It's one of the best written and immersive stories I've played in gaming. Geralt is such a great character. The rest of the cast, DLC included, is also a highlight. This is one of those games that justify being semi-open world. There's so much to do, but not only that, almost everything ends up in unexpected ways. It's a fantastic experience, however, I do have to warn new players cause that happened to me, so here are my bullet points:

* Even though the games makes an effort to introduce characters from the books in a digestible, it not always sticks the landing. Expect to read the glossary or wikis to get the full context. This might throw some players off. It's not necessary to have played the previous games or read the books, nevertheless, the Witcher 3 regards legacy players.

* White Orchard (the first area) is not well paced at all. It's long and the systems are not described well enough, thus it is easy to get lost. On top of that, it's a slow burner of a game. I encourage you to continue playing until you reach the bloody baron. At the risk of sounding like a typical obsessed fan: the game does get better after the 10 hour mark.

* The combat is awful. Get used to dodge/roll/parry and then attack, depending on the enemy. Igni is your best sign so use it a lot. I do recommend using potions early on since Blood and Wine (the last dlc) is very potion/oil oriented. Get used to it during the main game or Heart of Stone. You'll thank me laters.

Overall, as I said, a fantastic experience. Although it's not one that will be enjoyed from the moment you boot up the game. Give it time and you'll find yourself in a game you will not want to put down until the very end.

I am one of those people that bought the game after watching Cyberpunk Edgerunners. I was aware of how bad the launch of this game was since it was all over the place, but I figured after a few years of patches the game would be more stable.

The truth is the game still feels very janky. There were a lot of texture pop in, important cutscenes had no characters visible or a lot of t poses. Sometimes weapons did not work or cars would disappear. It's far from a perfect experience and probably never will be. However, the charm of Night City is intoxicating. The sidemissions and the main story is very well written, with believable characters and motives. I played male V, and sadly he was the weakest part of the script. I did not enjoy his voice or the delivery of some of his lines. But apart from him, the rest of the cast was very good.

However the rest of the game was not so enjoyable to me. The gameplay leaves a lot to be desired, specially melee combat. It has some good ideas like dodging, bullet time, etc, but everything feels so rushed and underdeveloped. There's a few guns that pack a punch in the audio department, however they don't necessarily do a lot of damage. Thus there's a juxtaposition of some of the weapons you get. Cars handle awfully and a lot of Night City is for show. It's a big place with very few places to enter.

I did not play this game at full settings since my rig is not that powerful. I do think the game looks fantastic without ray tracing. That's for buildings though. Characters, while having very nice models, are not on par with the lighting and places you can visit. I've seen this game running at max settings and honestly I don't think is that different to high without RTX. At least the base game without mods.

Having said that, I still recommend the game. I think developers promised something that was not going to be fulfilled and people knew that from the start. But at the same time people wanted to believe. Influencers also pushed the game. At the end of the day, it's an alright game. A little repetitive and very under cooked in some areas, however it is far from a bad game.

You deserve to experience this one. Do it on sale, though.

KOF XV is what XIV should've been. Better graphics, mechanics and shatter strike brings a offensive/defensive idea into the mix. Sadly, the balancing is absolutely broken due to high damage, cancelable 2B and weird hitboxes (Ralf j.CD, eg). There's something missing from this KOF though and it's hard for me to pinpoint the exact area or reason. For example, the menus are extremely simple, but the game takes a while to load certain assets. Some options are curiously missing, such as changing the order of the team without going to character selection screen.

It's a weird KOF then. It's definitely a better product than XIV and I still recommend it. However, it is far from the best KOF or a complete fighting game package. And that's might be the worst problem in the end: it's just a good KOF but nothing more.

In a genre with heavy hitters like Guilty Gear Strive, Tekken 7 or the upcoming RIOT fighting game, KOF needs to reinvent itself to be a game for more than just the legacy players. I'm here waiting for better changes next week.
