Hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had!

Very SCP inspired, Abiotic Factor sends you, as a rookie scientist, to a lab down under. I haven't focused on the story lore too much, but from what I have seen, this game has everything a player would like when it comes to a story driven survival game:
- Hunger/Thirst bar
- Sleepiness bar
- A defecation bar, throwing us back to good old ARK
- A nice crafting system
- Base invasions (which means that you can build traps! :D)

Besides all these bars, the game has a nice blueprint system, where you have to throw new items you found into a massive brain pot, in order to find new inventions that will serve you throughout the journey to the labs. If you were to no have blueprints your friends have, they can share them with you just by standing next to you with a click of a button! When it comes to content, despite it having the early access tag, this game does not under-deliver, it has great amount of areas to discover, enemies to kill, parallel worlds to explore.

The developers did not think twice to add a lot of quality of life features to the game, very rarely have I seen a game that makes such good use of map design (it's like they knew what they were doing) to provide the player with a bunch of well thought through shortcuts. In addition, the crafting system if very neatly made, for instance if you have to craft something in order to make something bigger, you can just click one button to see what that component needs, craft it, and then return to the main blueprint without having to look through all your crazy inventions.

All in all, if you are looking for a fun game to play with a couple of friends, this is definitely a keeper!
If I could give stars I would give them all!

I rarely do serious reviews, but this game hits very close to home for me.
I played this game back in the day before it was first published on steam, and enjoyed it, even though I played on NA servers (I'm EU). It made a lot of fun and I met some nice people and guilds... Now, I redownloaded the game a week ago and I must say that a lot changed (and not to the better):
-Soundbugs are still a thing (The Manor's dungeon final boss will still blast your ears off).
-I got to level 65 in only a few hours (which in my opinion isn't really optimal, but then again they might just focus on the 65 to 70 grind).
-Crashes still occur way too often (I barely had any when I played on NA and since I started here I already had three).
-You still have materials in the game (i.e. from drops) that are outdated and cannot be used.
-Queuing for dungeons is still a pain if you're not a healer (I played Lancer for the past days and if it wasn't for the fact that two people stuck around with me, I would have had to wait for a very long time).
-As a lot of other reviews mentioned, the end game is slow and almost p2w.
-With today's update, they implemented a battle pass (really?) It just feels like they are trying to suck every and each penny out of their playerbase.

It's a shame, really, to see this game, that in my and in many other people's eyes had so much potential go to waste, but it is what it is.
I am not trying to discourage people from playing it, see for yourself, but this is just my subjective opinion.

Okay, so I rarely do serious Reviews, my older ones were more of a banter than actual helpful reviews.

I will make an exception for this game.

I've always been a fan of Dark Soul-like games, even though I rarely played them on my own pc, not only because of the skill it requires but also the Endurance and Stamina it demands sometimes when you are stuck at a certain point in the game (be it a boss fight, a room with an overwhelming amount of enemies, etc.).
The first hours of me playing Remnant: From the Ashes I was just struck by the enemy design (normal enemies and bosses), the environment design (You will see switching scenery throughout the game, which all have their own veil of mystery surrounding them) but also the love given to the little things, especially for people that like exploring every inch to find hidden items, paths or mysterious keys that push you towards finding the keyhole it belongs into.

For what concerns the negative aspects of the game, there are only a few rough edges (mechanics such as not being able to revive an ally by pressing "E" the first time because it cancels it after a split second) but apart from that, I haven't run into any issues during my playtime.

I hope this review helped some people getting somewhat of an idea of the game !

Peace out :)

Very fun game, especially when playing it with friends ( preferably drunk )

Slightly lacking in content, but what's there is enjoyable to play through.

This Game ... this game ....
To be honest i liked it when it came out , but then you only have "trial weapons" for 1-3-6 etc days , and then you have to rebuy them or get them for a huge ammount of credits. So you have this same screwed up case system like in other games such as Cs Go or the newer Cod's .
Now that they moved to "MY.COM" they took my entire account and wiped it , even in the email where it said how to get "free" stuff by migrating my account , but as soon as i started the game it INSTANTLY switched to MY.COM , and my account got wiped , and with it all these tryhard hours and so on , gg
