Great fun to start but becomes a slog and frustrating later on.

Liked the retro feel and the general running around shooting stuff but it gets repetitive quickly with lots of back tracking.

The nail in the coffin for me were the bosses which got so oppressive I just gave up. Its not "get gud" in a souls way here its just tiring and not fun after a while.

Uninstalled it about 50% in.

No offence, but you can dodge each boss attack, the game is fair, there is A TON of hidden weapons and upgrades that let you battle the bosses as you want and feel way OP (like wristguards that allow you to block almost ANY bullet type with a melee ... and if you have the black belt that gives you quick karate type melee, then you can be untouchable with ranged attacks etc.) ... and there is PLENTY of healing items, all merchants have them, you get loads of gold to buy as much healing as you'd ever need. If you realise all of the above bosses become way too easy actually. I didn't know that and struggled through a first few, but then realised how the game should be played and went through the 2nd half of the game and bosses, including the final boss with just 2 or 3 tries each.

Anyway, game is great and it gets better and better as you explore the gear you get etc.
