Haven't touched this game since 2018 or something and I played today and it's just VR chat. Anime avatars, weirdos, furries, weird age play, weird kinks in public. Yeah, I guess Ill just...never touch it again. Miss just normal people doing things and now it's just infested I guess

Edit: I just spent 1350 yen on Black Souls 2 because this game was so good and intriguing that I HAD to play the sequel. 300 yen off for creating an account! God this game really is great in terms of gameplay and exploration, story, details, prerequisites for certain secrets/endings/things in general. So well done. I know I'm gonna love Black Souls 2.

Incredibly fun, so very fun to explore and fight and yknow the other things.
Gotta play it patched, but really I was locked into this game for a good 3 days. Was so incredibly fun.

It is a fun rhythm game, a little hard with WASDF, hurts my brain a little with the complexity but I do appreciate the uniqueness of it. I also like bunny b-!tches.

Game was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rock solid in 2010-2011, I don't know what horrible, new-age ♥♥♥♥ storm that occurred in the years but obviously the game is unplayable. It's like the ree tards that played Mordhau migrated to this game. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miss the full servers full of noobs and the fun of just playing to play. Gmod DarkRP as Drug Dealer but you don't see "Raid" in chat every 30 min and suddenly get ass blasted by an RPG and nitroglycerin.

Played for 20 hours on launch, got bored because I didn't like the open-world souls experience and was too dumb to explore.

2-3 weeks ago I started it again and pumped 180 hours. I knew I felt weird for not liking this game originally.

I beat Messmer after about 6 hours of studying and dying. I love how hard these bosses are, no cheese builds. You gotta learn and not panic react to everything. Downvoters should go back to base game, filthy casuals. Explore and enjoy the world.

I had a weird phase with this game where I spent the first 15 hours in the first area, doing everything, and having a beautiful blast. Then when I completed a major segment to the next area of game where the game I got bored and reminded I'm just going from one point to another, and I slowly lost my liking for the game. I was able to defeat dozens of enemies without a sweat with parries and more. Fighting seemed so boring, and the entire story just dragged and made me think I was playing a ubisoft game.

Then I went to an optional island and experienced a very great plot point on a whim, with increased combat fatigue and more. It was so fun, as well as all the added side stuff.

After the segmented off plot point, I decided to do random side stuff and got keys to some handsome ass armor. Even Father's armor couldn't compete (not without 1400 worth of supplies) at least. I'm still half way through the main story but my enjoyment with the game is consistently up and down. Moments of loving and enjoying every detail, and others realizing 99% of the cut-scenes are faceless expressions with lip syncing. I play with the Japanese dialogue and English subtitles and it is 100% not accurate at all, I don't know what the ♥♥♥♥ they're talking about in their promos for the game with Japanese lip sync.

I still come back though, to play and explore and fight. I love everything about the game, yet hate the same thing. I truly wish there was some difficulty that added so many enemies to the pool of areas that it made combat overwhelming and satisfying to parry and dodge.

Don't ever get finished with west manufacturing to the labs as the power goes out, went from silly black mesa to a horror game real quick.
