Been playing since 2008, always been a blast.
But for the love of god this new version is buggy as hell. Just do yourself a favor and switch in beta branch to the original release. I think they might have done some stuff with the physics because my muscle memory just doesnt work with "new" release.
Apparently, all you have to do is limit FPS to get rid of those issues, but again, it seems so easy to patch.

If not for the story and incredible atmosphere this would have been only an okay game. Often the game tells you little to none what to do next. The puzzles are mostly logical maybe except the stage before the very end where it comes to just trial and error. The worst case is when you have to wander around locations without any objective because you have to "wait" for other characters to do something. And by "wait" i don't mean actually wait some time but you have to go from location to location, maybe click some things until the game decides you "waited" enough. The game tells you NOTHING that you can interact with both left and right click and both are required to progress. There are places when you can die if you're not quick enough or die by clicking somewhere you weren't supposed to. Those aren't common but saving often is advised.
So from gameplay perspective the game is a little lacking but the rest of the game is done at worst acceptable. The story is very good although the ending is a little rushed. I adore this game's atmosphere. It's perfect for autumn, the locations just made me unsettled constantly. Like something's wrong is going on wherever I go. Not so great voice acting actually adds to that. Speaking of sound, the sound effects are awesome. Clock tickings, rain, thunder it's done so good. Even small details like your footsteps changing depending on surface which is not so obvious for point and click, it's good touches.
Despite running at all times in low resolution, it actually does this game a favor in very nice and atmospheric backgrounds. Only the janky animations and models show their age.
This game is not scary at all but if you like having a little thrill and also you're looking for an adventure game, Black Mirror might be just for you. Just do yourself a favor and play this during the night and at best during rain. This will result in at least 3x the experience.

The sound is completly broken and the game launches at 1024x768. It's unplayable without any dialogue sounds, broken music, broken SFX and so on.

A strong contender to be the best RGG title so far. Like literally, this game took everything from first Judgment and made it better.
Story? Dark. Darker than the first? Personal opinion. This game though shows corpses (game literally opens with a decomposing one) a lot, constant references to bullying and suicide. So if any of these topics trigger you, be warned. But the story is good. Like other titles it starts rather slow but speeds up about halfway (around chapter 7) The antagonist I think is the best the series got to offer so far. Final battle - epic, and with that music..
The music is too one the top in the series. Like no joke - in a series well known for it's bangers.
My complaints with the first game was the attrocious tailing and the Keihin Gang being a pain in the ass. Lost Judgment fixes those issues. The tailing is now more engaging, maybe it's not the best but it definetely is a step up from previous title. Keihin Gang is now a major part for a School Stories - a completly optional giant side quest that could be a standalone game in all fairness. It involves several minigames(they might get grindy a bit but nothing serious) and could get a good chunk of your playtime.
The combat and gameplay is perfected in this game. We got 2 new styles - Snake and Boxer(i believe Boxer was a part of DLC earlier but we got it for free in PC version) Each of the four is reliable and you can mix them up for nice combos.
The graphics is still the good old Dragon Engine. Yeah, it's been 7 years since Yakuza 6 and it's debut. The game looks okay, but I think it's finally time to give up on it.
I didn't noticed any major bugs and the game is fairly stable, it ran well too on my not-so-great PC.
Overall I place Lost Judgment in the same place as Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 0, being now my third contender to claim my personal TOP 1 in the series.

Well, it's a game from Yakuza series, so if you liked it[series] so far, this is a must have.
It took me exactly 40 hours to beat it(at around 65% completion), but due to afking, and trying out things with loading and saving, Steam shows up 60.
The story perhaps is the darkest among the whole series, and it's really good. It might be very slow for some, but on chapter 9(out of 13) it really speeds up, and truly engages you. I always fear new main characters in Yakuza but Yagami really grew on me. I felt he was much bolder than Kiryu, especially if we think of Kiryu's Y5-6 versions. Other characters are very well made too.
The combat is awesome. We have 2 combat styles, one for larger groups, and the other rather focusing on one opponent.
I feel like thanks to this game, Dragon Engine was really polished. It's not Y6 where you had a downgrade in literally every aspect of fighting. The ragdoll still acts funny at times, but it's not as bad as in Y6 where it took ages to get up after a ridiculous ragdoll.
Side content is still top notch, even if we're missing crucial elements like karaoke and some other activities. There's still a large number of things to do. I think Friendships system really works well in encouraging you to do side missions, etc.
Graphics and audio is also great, but that's a series standard. Dragon Engine still looks pretty, cutscenes are awesome. Some of the QTEs in fights are already amongst my faves in entire series(final boss QTE is fantastic)
Soundtrack in my opinion goes back to the roots, with guitar themes, also sometimes barely audible lyrics. Took me back to the OG Y1-Y2 and Y3 music.
But, the game has it's issues like every game. The tailing missions are horrible. They are way too long, they always come down to slowly walking around your target, the music constantly changes from calm one to dramatic, because target turned and is behind a column, also they're no challenge at all.
The random encounters were also a pain in the ass, because they're only a waste of time in the endgame. I was cursing this stupid guy, who kept texting you because KEIHIN GANG WANTS YOU DEAD again and again. Thank god for the Stealth extract which disables random encounters for a short time.
The technical side of the game is good too. I didn't experience any serious bugs, crashes or infinite loadings. The game ran well on my average in today's standards PC.
Overall, I think I can safely put this game in my TOP 3 in the whole series, on the first place in podium next to Yakuza 0 and 5.
