Upon retiring to my chamber, I reposed upon my bed with the sincerest desire to surrender myself to a deep and restorative slumber. Alas, in a moment of the most lamentable misjudgement, I permitted myself to remain on call - the gravest error of my life. Whilst I lay unconscious, the lady in question did emit the most delicate purrs and plaintive mews into my ear, so artfully rendered that I dreamt of a feline wife: tender, loving, and wholly illusory. Upon waking, my heart was shattered.
Truly, I fear I can endure no more.
