An Epic end for an Epic Adventure. Best bet is to start with Witcher 1, go over to witcher 2 and end it all with Witcher 3. You get a detailed overview over the story this way, it's possible to play it on it's own as well, but I think getting along with the characters and their past will be hard.

For the Game itself: Decisions over decisions, you can form the Story by your actions in multiple ways which gives a great worth of replaying the game, New Game+ let's you take your character from the first run to the next one. New decisions -> New story!

An open world with a lots of details and hidden secrets, if you love exploring, you love this! You can choose between exploring the Map on your on or by reading the hints on the blackboards (you will get a ? on the map, but not for all hidden stashes and stuff)

The DLC politics is the first one ever that satisfies me. Big thanks to the developers not to be as greedy as others. When I was young, DLC's were called "Expansion Packs" or "Addon", where you bought a CD full of content for about 10 - 20 euros. Witcher 3's DLC's are REAL Addons, with a huge pack of content (New areas, new story for another 30 hours or somewhat)

An RPG how it should be.
