This is such a fantastic game. The graphics, the gameplay, the story, the characters, the combat, all of it. I am taking it slow to really explore everything so I sunk like 8 hours into it today lol and I could easily keep going. What an immersive little lovecraftian treat. I can't say enough good things. It really is one of a kind and hella creative. Thank you, devs!

They literally didn't playtest anything in multiplayer and it shows. Quests failing in multiplayer. Lost all my vault card cosmetics joining my husband in multiplayer. I had cosmetics I paid for disappear and had to put in multiple tickets to get it resolved. I had a lot of fun in the beginning but all of the bugs have made this unbearable and miserable to play. Their solution for the vault card problem? Play solo as a workaround. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ borderlands, are you kidding me???? Also achievements don't work in multiplayer either 99% of the time, so keep that in mind. Trash.

Played this with my sister and husband and it was hilarious, fun, and frustrating. Could've sworn we'd never make it to the end, but slowly we got better and better and beat it twice in one evening. Still fun for repeat adventures, definitely recommend for the lols

Early Access Review
I super love this game. The systems, progression, and gameplay feel very smooth and intuitive. It's very similar to Core Keeper with a few key differences. I love the ability to go to different islands, and even though the multiplayer is sort of in testing, I haven't had any issues playing a bunch of hours with my husband and his brother.

The adjustments I would recommend are so tiny and minor, they almost aren't worth mentioning. Very well done and polished, even in its current state.

Maybe a way to run faster? Movement speed on gear helps, but it would be nice if we had a little bit more. Also, maybe an item to increase the pickup radius for things would be helpful.

I will add more as things pop up, but the gameplay loop is massively fun and I look forward to sinking more hours into this. Thank you for making such a dope game that's easy to hop into and run with!

Walking simulator, no freedom of choice, mechanics are nauseating and basic, no skill required and no fun had.

I would love to leave any kind of meaningful review but after having to verify my files for the 6,000 time this month which takes 20+ minutes each, I can't even playing the fkn game.

I struggle with this one. It's a lot of fun to play coop, but late game is tedious and very punishing. Game should allow you to rez your friends, and should also allow you to pick up at least a % of loot you drop when you die, since a lot of the boss fights aren't clear on what you do.

I wish the game had talent points or buffs where you could increase your health (even temporarily, like a food buff)

Big backpack is researchable far too late in the game

Shark attack should be spontaneous and not consistent every like 2 minutes after you kill him. It become more annoying than scary

Also, game desperately needs an unstuck button (not just when you die???)

I enjoyed the majority of the game but the last island made it absolutely miserable, especially with jumping puzzles in a game where jumping is horrific. You also run incredibly slow, which is even worse when your buddy dies and you have to carry him all the way back to the raft.

Overall fun most of the time, but the reviewer who said the last island felt like "stepping on legos" was spot on.

ETA AGAIN: WHERE IS THE QUICKSAVE???? JFC

I've played all of the Bioware games and I'm a huge Mass Effect and Dragon Age fan. This one is a lot of fun. The combat is fun and fluid. Exploring is decent. Skill progression feels rewarding. the dialog is lacking compared to previous entries but overall, if you liked the others you'll like this one.

ETA: I have a good amount of hours in it at this point, and there are a few cracks in the facade. It feels like they hold your hand through very simple puzzles, and give you zero clues on more difficult puzzles. It feels more like a puzzle game than a Dragon Age game, which I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck at, so there's that. Also, one of the quests is bugged (For "Last Rites," come from the north and not the south) so I spent like 30 minutes trying to find something that didn't exist.

I get the burnout now that people are talking about. While skill progression feels meaningful, companion and story progression does not. I find myself rotating through party members regularly (to my detriment, since they don't skill up if they're not in combat) because nobody feels like they have any "must have" skills, and nobody has a relationship with me that feels worth anything.
