I am a hopeless case.

It took me 80 hours to only reach (and beat) the last boss. Now another 30 hours later I am slowly towards completing Act 2 with all the sidequests and beat Groal after days of desperation.
Some would ask me why I torture myself through so many deaths and repetitive reruns. My answer: Because the game is just so good! That I am bad with platformers does not mean I can't enjoy a game and the enemies are hard, yes, but they all have a very logical pattern you just have to identify and conquer.

I agree that games are not needed to be so hard and unforgiving but as well as there are cozy games (that I also love) there is also room for hard to play games. A game doesn't have to capture everyone (even though most games nowadays tend to try that) it just has to be outstanding for what it is. And Hollow Knight: Silksong is such a game.

I kickstarted that game and was not disappointed.

Lost Ember is an enviromental adventure that pleases ones heart. As a story driven game it has a lot of background and small details to be found. Every animal you can jump into has it's very unique way of moving and gives a special way to look onto the world.

Even if the game has no fighting elements, it isn't lacking the excitement. That would only disturb the experience of exploring.

Lost Ember is really a game you can easily forget time over without even noticing and without any regret. Even tho not everyone is interested in such a calming and story driven game, for those that are interested, I would totally recommend on checking it out and get yourself lost in ancient ruins and forests that overtook civilisation.
