I love Team Fortress 2...
The worldbuilding, characters, humor and it's comics, it all makes what tf2 itself really is, a good charm. Valve really made an amazing chaotic class based shooter of all time.
But tf2 like other games - also have community problems.
The other problem is that this game just keeps being inflated with cosmetics, maps and skins that make tf2 look like a silly meme game.

Now time for a bit of my villian arc:
I started playing tf2 in 2015 when I made a steam account, just to play Garry's mod too, I was a teenager back then and a very curious kid, I was inspired by the funny, stupid ha ha animations on youtube.
I played a bit of Casual (or Quickplay when it used to be called like that before Meet your Match) but the most of the time - I liked to spend on community servers, I dunno but I saw something interesting in them, that's where I used to see tf2 as more like VRchat. I just wanted to spend time and meet different people, then I heard the funny mocking word from some as🇸holes; "F2P". Oooh boy... that was the part where I ruined myself with the lack of responsibility.
I really wanted to fit in with the people, I just wanted to feel loved and welcomed. Buuuut I didn't pay attention to real life. I wasted a lot of money on cosmetics where it led to my family punishing me. At one point my Steam account got hacked, I got scammed so hard it led me the most miserable feeling I probably had in my life... - HAHAHAHA IT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY HOW MUCH EVIL I'VE LEARNED ABOUT THE MEDIA FROM JUST SOME SILLY VIDEO GAME, MY GOD! HOW MUCH PAIN, WRATH, ENVY AND THE HATE I FELT, YEEEESH. THE STRONG HATE FOR HUMANITY I FELT HAHAHAA!!!

*ghem* Okay, I finished my AM roleplay. Getting back to the point; I really feel bad how much this game and new players like me had to suffer, with the nonstop workshop cosmetics, and the addiction to trash your money down the drain just to dress your class as a clown. Sure on workshop some people still can make good stuff don't get me wrong, I love that there is still creativity, there is alot of stuff to keep the game alive, but it can also end up in the wrong hands of wrong people, some workshop stuff just doesn't fit the game.
Speaking of tf2 itself; I was surprised how much history TF2 had! This game actually meant something, the big hype for updates, the big mvm arg like... wow! Tf2 actually had its own LORE and THEME!
But now it's just... "a different game" from now on.

It's 2025, I've grown a lot and learned from my mistakes, I still regret my past choices.
I would like to play tf2, but only with friends now. Sometimes I visit community server to see what is happening, and if I feel to do some funny soundpad micspam - I get banned, can't even express my humor, lmao. But oh well, It's the nature of the community. After all, we all live in a hybrid world, haha. Tf2 really changed my life ALOT, seriously...

I love Team Fortress 2... but... I just feel like I don't belong there.
It's your game now.

also yeah casual can't even compare with whimsical magic of community servers, which brings us to a conclusion that "meet your match" was a mistake
