Unfortunately, the save game bug still exists in mid 2025. 6 hours of progress gone. I exited the game to look up how to get past the last cooling stage level, then when I started the game up and went to "continue", I was back at an early save where I had only gotten a level or two done in the beginning with the gpu. At this point, I've scraped my way past some really hard levels that I just don't want to do over again.

I was really enjoying this game. It's got its quirks, and it can be original NES old school difficult, but the progress is rewarding and the upgrades are nice as you go along. The save game issue has been reported by random users in the discussions in 2024. I'm here to report it still isn't fixed.

The next Guitaroo-Man. I never thought there'd be another music game that gave me that enchanting feeling that Guitaroo once did. I'm pleasantly surprised....it's like the spirit of GM lives on, in a piano music game for Steam. Genius.

Buy this game if you've ever heard of or liked Guitaroo-Man. You'll thank me later.

This pushes the boundaries of what one would call gaming. It's more of a beautiful, semi random, synesthetic, exploration experience than anything else. That being said, if you like games or experiences different from the norm, that game is absolutely worth your time and money. I did two playthroughs back to back, and the experiences were significantly different each time. It's a strange feeling to not know when exactly you're finishing the game, and then feel a bit of sadness that this experience has to come to a close. This will definitely warrant more playthroughs for me.

If mind altering substances of any sort are within your personal boundaries, I would highly recommend them paired with this game. Your experience and appreciation for this game will be greatly enhanced.

The short six hours I had with this game stands as one of the greatest gaming experiences of my lifetime. The visuals, audio, and story can hold their own against any film that I've seen; it's truly an epic experience.

It's rare that I'm truly humbled in reverence of a game. I will be closely watching what comes next from both Starbreeze Studios and Josef Fares, whatever form of media it may be.

If you enjoyed Ico, Shadow of the Colussus, or Journey, you owe it to yourself to play this game. If you haven't had the time to get around to any of those, but enjoy films or games that have powerful, emotionally driven story experiences, this game is for you.

Excellent game, played all the way through it before it hit Steam. Buy it if you like Metroidvania style games.
