game's not done, but it's still one of the best ever made

a great investigation game with a thoroughly fumbled and disappointing ending. worth a play, but the wasted potential is palpable

this dlc actively harms my enjoyment of the game by issuing $5000 fines every time a prisoner is released and reoffends. min sec prisoners usually arrive at your prison with a prison sentence averaging around 7 years, of which they have served most of already. meaning that even without providing parole for prisoners with a reoffending rate that's too high, prisoners will be released against your will and reoffend which nets you a fine you literally can't avoid. these fines slow down your reform efforts which develops into a terrible snowball that overall just slows the game down and makes it less fun. they never fixed this despite overwhelming feedback and, more offensively, never even added an option to disable it when you're creating a new prison. don't buy this. i never even built any of the new rooms added because i simply didn't have the money to after all these fines.

one of the best survival games ever and The best early access game i've ever played for sure, despite not being finished there is so much content and it's all extremely interesting. the setting is very unique and creative (while also being proudly inspired by other great media). the progression is pretty well designed and the areas are super fun to explore. huge recommend for anyone who likes the survival genre

ok i was debating giving this game a positive review because my first playthrough was completely riddled with bugs and it kinda ruined my experience initially. however after talking with the devs, according to them over 80000 people have played the game and very few (like me) have actually come forth with bug reports and gamebreaking issues. the devs have been working diligently and tirelessly to fix these problems otherwise so i respect them for that. they're a very small team for an indie game of this scope so i can cut them some slack.

besides the issues i faced, i really think enigma of fear is a great game for people who like freeform exploration and puzzle solving with very little hand-holding. this game will kick your ass if you don't pay attention. the puzzles are all very creative and just hard enough. some are easier, some are tougher, but the general balance of difficulty felt very fair to me.

enigma of fear is an Ordem Paranormal game, but i think the devs managed to make it its own thing, which is to say you don't need prior universe knowledge to understand what's going on in the story, let alone solve any of the puzzles.

this game is a self contained package that delivers most of what was promised in its crowdfunding campaign and has mostly fun, intuitive puzzles to solve and a lot of lore to uncover, while also having some cute characters to talk to and a very heartfelt message to boot. it's good, i recommend it

already writing a much bigger review for this game on a different website, but i'm not spoiling wani for you steam dwellers.

play this game. it's well written, tasteful, emotional, happy, insightful, thought-inducing, all in a neat little package. it also has dinosaur people, what's not to love.

i don't care if you don't like visual novels. play this game.

(my only complaint is that i wish they went one way or the other with inco. it's like he's trying to be a self insert, but also his own character, and his own personality traits kind of vanish later on. if you had just given him hair and a consistent personality this game would be perfect. still worth every cent)

a good contender for the greatest video game ever made

an amazing sequel to an already amazing game. definitely worth the money and the wait. Play it if you like rpgs and puzzles and laughing
