Gamblers Table is a surprisingly interesting game and cool idea. However, it suffers from very limited build options from mid game, and the end game balance is... fairly unpolished. It definitely has the potential to be a great game. Still, decent for the price and a dozen of hours.

A Short Hike probably gives the most wonderful and satisfying single hour in my gaming experience. It feels as deep as a sandbox triple A game while as chilling and warm like animal crossing. It's been a while since I feel empty and wish a game could last more before it ends.

I really hate to speak negative for the game, but the crashing issues are so horrible. It's unplayable at this moment. I have been a loyal MH series player and have purchased a copy of each game since MH3G, but this is the worst experience I have ever had.

Don't get me wrong, the game itself is good - maybe not as good as some previous titles, but very much enjoyable and worth the price if there are no crashing issues, even with all the optimization shenanigans. BUT releasing a game with so many, and so serious crashing bugs is ridiculous.

There are several action (like visiting a certain spot on the map; talking to a certain NPC at a certain spot) leading to an instant crash I can consistently reproduce. Communicating with Capcom support - hopefully they would actually take this as a thing and I can revise my review.

10/10 as a visual novel.
It might not be perfect as a game, but the script and music are just awesome. Recommend.
