Humankind is an enjoyable and inventive 4x game. However, the game has a lot of bugs that can grind a match to a halt, and there is content missing, especially from diplomacy. Both of these issues I believe Amplitude will fix with updates and expansions. Having pointed out the glaring issues, I still enjoy experiencing this unique 4x game. The combat, the way it utilizes terrain and unit traits, makes for very engaging skirmishes. With the different ways you can build your civilization and cities, every match has felt different. The narrative approach to a game was delightful for my first game. And I like the recap of deeds at the end of a match, similar to a fallout game. All and all, I'm excited to see Humankind grow and where Amplitude takes it.

So I highly recommend it for fans of the genre. For everyone else, I highly recommend waiting for an expansion or sale.
