Early Access Review
Liberte seems like a promising and somewhat fresh take on a roguelike game.

Over the couple hourse I've put into it, I traversed various locations, met a couple of characters and slashed through dozens of enemies. It has an interesting artstyle that combines revolutionary-era France with some of more fantastical/demonic elements. The game itself looks fine and I'm really fond of the painterly character portraits.

I was pleasantly surprised with how the controller support is implemented as of now, as its still in early access. I got used to other games doing it poorly or not at all, so - apart from some hitches - i liked how the gameplay felt. Combat itself is also pretty meaty and there's always a bonus point from me for ragdolling corpses.

I must say, that I'm not really into sinking lots of time into early access games, but I'd definitely check Liberte out again, when it releases.
