Woah... where do I even start?
I have to admit I neglected the Mass Effect series for whatever reason. This was a terrible mistake. It was an extremely powerful experience that I will never forget. Never in my life I would have thought I could become so attached to mere lines of code... but the characters... there is something about them I can't explain, their depth is honestly incredible, their jokes make me laugh, I feel their pain, sadness, happiness... Normandy's crew became inseperable by the third game, and the attachment I felt to them made me want to fight the Reapers to ensure their safety. Truly a great example on how to write characters.

The storyline is well-written, scarce of any plot holes. It is essentially about saving the galaxy from a greater threat. The part of the story that makes it beautiful is when you unite all the different species across the galaxy. That made me shed a tear a couple of times. I must say, however, Jacob Taylor definitely tried to ruin my enjoyment of the trilogy. But I am to blame for ruining that too, because I have made some bad choices (especially in the third installment) that made me have to replay out of shame (Yes, I may have accidentally let the Reapers wipe out the entire galaxy). I enjoyed all three parts that this edition includes, though I must say there is a certain aura in the first game that made me enjoy it the most. Aura I felt was lost in the second part, no matter how good it was, and that was merely present in the third game.

Gameplay I didn't care much for, though it was decent, it was really nothing special. But it is as fun as any shooter is. Shooting is satisfying enough. The real reason why the game kept me so involved was the dialogue options. Now that is the real deal.
Despite the beauty of this game I encountered several issues I feel obliged to mention. Firstly, sometimes I had to hop around the Citadel to avoid a loading screen between locations that made my game crash.
Secondly, Kai Leng. Not much explanation needed here.

No matter what problems I faced with this game, it earned its place among my top favourites. I totally love it, and I will gladly replay it in the future. I fell in love with this universe.

To wrap everything up, don't be like me, just buy this game already and try it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
