From what I've seen of previous reviews for this game, both positive & negative, there seem to be two factors that greatly affect your propensity to enjoy it: whether this is your first PDX title and how married you are to the period. I was lucky enough to find myself both a Paradox noob (all the criticisms that took the form of comparisons with their other games held no meaning to me) and in love with the period. Thus, for 200hrs & counting, I've enjoyed every second of it.
