I loved Suzerain. World, diplomacy, characters.. It is overall a great experience. Plus point from me because I feel like Sordland takes a lot of inspiration my beloved homeland, Türkiye.

However, I must warn you if you are expecting a Political Sim. It's not. It is one the reasons that after few hours of excitement, I started to get bored. Don't get me wrong, story and characters are still interesting, yet there is way too much drama that games forces you to eat with a shovel. The game kind of tries to pull the rug out from under of player in any moment, which becomes frustrating because you start to fight against the game's linear events, that doesn't mean anything politically. After that point, immersion dies and game becomes a chore rather than fun device.

Spoiler Ahead

There are certain things that doesn't make sense. Why we can't talk to our wife more directly so she will make speech somewhere else? Why we can't talk to our bff earlier in the game? Why we can't get suspicious of our secretary by our own instincts? We are not playing a president who won the elections, yet a stupid puppet that cannot make any decisions by himself. He cannot even look at the constitution again by himself.

This part of the game is very frustrating that kills the immersion after few hours unfortunately. Instead of the long writing of the dialogues, focusing on this problem which could've solved by more routes (yes more work) would increase the meaning of choices.

Overall a nice experience though. 7/10, probably will not try other routes because, well, there is too much text to go over again.
