Well, a star as massive as our Sun will expand into a red giant of radius bigger than 1AU so I don't know if all the things on Earth, or Earth itself will live. I don't know about Middle Earth. It's radiation and matter will travel across space, though. Who knows, maybe merging with other nebulae, birthing new stars, Green Hills of Stranglethorn by Hemet Nesingwary.
