I want to start off by saying this game is one of the best narrative choice based games ever made, ive sank multiple thousands of hours between multiple playthroughs on xbox and truly love this game. The issue lies with the PC port of the game, as is, its borderline unplayable, and if youre unlucky enough such as myself, youll encounter a 1 of a kind issue with no ounce of information to fix it. Most of these issues are fixed with mods fairly easily on paper, but if youre like me, even with patchers its still unplayable.

I love this game, I finally got it to boot and play stably, but after 8 years of debugging I can safely say it is not worth it. I understand that my situation is one of a kind, but I shouldnt need 150 mods in order to experience the game in its form. It sucks too because unfortunately were past the point of just dropping a fix update because it would crash 10s of thousands of mods on nexus and other websites. The game needs a remaster if anything. Not saying to just take this version off steam but maybe a second version of the game thats already pre-patched for more casual consumers because the problem that I had was not a problem that the average person can decipher. For non tech savvy users this game is unfortunately a no go and the only easy fool proof solution is to follow the wabbajack install guide for Viva New Vegas because even the RAM overflow fix is now outdated and doesnt really work without supporting mods to fix other issues. Overall if youre looking for a stable fallout NV experience just buy a console.
