This game is an outstanding example of being player friendly. All weapons, upgrades, missions, buffs, etc. are completely free and quite reasonable to unlock. Zero pay to win, all DLC is cosmetic and very reasonably priced considering they give frameworks for every weapon in the game, not an insignificant amount of work to model.

The ease of use of the laser pointer alone is unbelievable. Using it you can figure out what you're pointing it at (clicking it when you point it at something will also usually tell you what you need to do, "It's our job to keep the drilldozer running!"). You can exclusively use the laser pointer and salute functions to communicate almost any point to your teammates.

Don't want to play with anyone, maybe cause you are wanting to experiment with a new weapon/loadout and don't want to be dead weight on your team? That's what Bosco is for. An automatic drone to assist you in solo missions, capable of doing a whole lot, and again super easy to use. Just use the laser pointer to tell him what to do. Tell him to mine minerals by pointing at them, highlight an enemy to make him attack it, light an area by marking it, carry heavy objects, etc. I find it pretty awesome that this studio decided to code such a seamless and useful companion for any times you would go solo.

If this game looks at all interesting to you and you're on the fence about getting it (like I was) then I urge you to pick it up. The community is very welcoming and friendly, and you'll have a great time.
