Changing my review which I wrote pretty much at launch because Capcom are not to be trusted.

It's a shame because this was a great title. I even enjoyed Monster Hunter Rise more than I did World for the fact that it sped things up, respected my time, and also had some really nice new weapon skills to really shake things up. This is probably the best the combat has ever been.

The now-negative review is simply due to Capcom's unfathomably stupid decision to add DRM 2 years after launch, effectively making the game worse for the people who bought it, and in the case of Steam Deck users, completely ruining the experience by making it unplayable. What an absolute slap in the face to their customers.

This decision has also instantly killed any modicum of interest I had in Monster Hunter Wilds. Not giving money to a publisher that can't be trusted.
