It's crazy how quick people are to A) read nothing B) test nothing C) learn nothing, throw their hands up in the air, drop everything, and leave a review like "negative, lmao this is slop trash and it doesn't even work on my ultrawide". I went into this game genuinely concerned from the content in a lot of these negative reviews. But after the few hours I have so far, nearly every negative review I read has turned out to be just blatantly untrue lmao it's insane. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

"there's a lot of currencies" are you new to mmos? "grr there's no ultrawide support" literally change the resolution *one* time, *try* to solve your own unique problems, holy hell, it absolutely does (looks great in 21:9 btw). "it's a gacha" yeah dude, it has a gacha mechanic for cosmetic clothes that you don't need, gain nothing from, and only buy to "look cooler in". Wow. What a deal breaker. How *EVER* will I live knowing the free game I'm playing has an optional thing in it that I don't have to spend money in to enjoy. It's an absolute travesty that there's a pathway for someone to buy something in a free game, truly the developers should just be doing charity work. SPENDING MONEY!?!? in MY FREE TO PLAY GAME!?!? C'mon, be for real, there's plenty of stuff you can buy without even touching those systems, and you don't need to touch any of it to begin with. Literally just buy it off the AH from other people who will sell it--how do you get dressed on your own in the morning? Call the pope b/c that is true miracle work.

the grass outside is free guys, you can touch it at anytime

It's not trying to be anything it isn't. It's a pve-only cozy social anime-inspired mmo that consists of some of the most popular gameplay features from the biggest games in the genre, all put into one title and implemented decently enough with decent QoL. Multi-classing on one character, 20-man boss hunt trains, optional afk gameplay mechanics, endgame content, raids, tower challenge, player housing, guild content, etc. It's fun, it's easy to figure out, it's free, it doesn't necessarily reinvent any wheels, but it does exactly what it says it does, well. The monetization is heavily aimed toward cosmetics. High rarity items gained through the store can be can be sold on the in-game AH to other players.

I could keep going, this is genuinely just a normal/typical modern mmo experience, albeit cozier/more casual than something like FFXIV or BDO.

Unironically, steam should require a cognitive test before you're able to review anything because reading these negative reviews is objectively a walk down insanity lane and idk how they're able to find the power button on their computer without help

Hands down one of the greatest PlayStation games ever made.

I genuinely believe it would have won the most awards back when it came out initially (2020), would have beat out Read Dead Redemption 2, if only it had not been a console exclusive so it could reach its entire audience.

The combat is absolutely peak and the story is a fantastic and emotional journey.

As a long time Monster Hunter fan, Iceborne is everything I could have hoped for and more. It's not just more World; it's a whole new beast that'll keep you clutch-clawed for hours on end.

Get that tenderizer ready bois.

Outstanding mech game. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun with a mech-focused game. With this incredible addition to their ever-expanding catalogue of masterpieces, FromSoftware does it yet again.

If you go for it, it takes about 60 hours to 100% the game. The game is absolutely fantastic, the story is surprisingly good, and the PvP is a ton of fun. There's a few different endings though, so I highly recommend playing through it a couple of extra times to get the "true" ending.

I've gone back to my ps2 over the years a couple of times to play the old original Ratchet & Clank games. The nostalgia hit was always good, but the gameplay aged a bit poorly. They always felt pretty clunky to go back to. THIS game though, playing this game feels like how I remember the ps2 game feeling like back in the day. When it wasn't clunky. This game hits all the nostalgia boxes and has some solid fun gameplay to boot.

It's a solid PlayStation PC port from the get go too, which is a nice change (looking at you HZD & TLOU)

I never really enjoyed JRPGs. I tried, a lot, to enjoy these kinds of games. But they just never ever really struck a chord with me. This game however, did, and it entirely upended my opinions on the whole genre. If JRPGs like this keep getting made, it won't be long until I have a new favorite kind of video game.

The entire game, start to finish, was an absolutely exhilarating experience. Once I picked it up, I genuinely could not put it down until I finished everything there was to finish.

If you've seen the movie Starship Troopers, this is the game you've always wanted.
