Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
Hey, Jes :3
The gentleman, Olivessence, wept,
For his stylish new handbag was swept
Away on the breeze,
Or dropped on his knees,
Or perhaps with a stranger it slept.
"It wasn't a man-bag!" he cried to his friend,
"It was sleek, it was clutch, it was right to the end
Of its beautiful strap!
Now where is the trap
That's holding my cash and my trend?"
He searched 'neath the sofa, he looked in the hall,
He blamed his pet parrot for chewing it all.
Then he sighed, quite deflated,
And finally stated:
"It's just where I left it—right here on the wall."
(It was hanging on a hook, where it perfectly fit,
But he swore he'd been robbed of the thing, just a bit!)
