Early Access Review
I started this game all the way back in 2016, I've watched it grow with the loving hands of Rory, the owner and other players over the years. I just recently came back and to say I'm blown away by the strides they've taken to make it more fun and new player friendly, is an understatement. I remember the early level caps and the early grind back then, it was, lets just say harsh haha. Now? Its fantastic. Leveling was made quicker, so much more stuff was added for player engagement. Yes, I do play in the NA server, but Rory is making sure there's more servers to play on for people who don't currently live in NA. The newest addition being the Brazilian server, there was a hint at a new server being made earlier this week if some of you caught it when trying to log in.

The game is fun, the player base, albeit a few bad eggs(Every game has them, don't lie to yourself), is super chill and friendly. To those who are waiting for Asia servers and others, please be patient. The fact its a 10 year old game and its still going this strong should be shocking. Remember, at the end of the day, no matter what server, village, or clan. We're all Ninjas.

At this point in time, this game needs quite a bit of work, FFA is literally the same map over and over and it gets really stupid when you walk into a game where the, "Bot" focuses you, and only you, ignoring the rest of the players. All the while, you're also getting tagged teamed by random players, who arent, "Friends." Needs to be labeled Early Access again, not really a full 1.0

Early Access Review
[Explaination on why I think all this below] I reviewed the game awhile back but barely played more than 300 hours, now with over 600 hours clocked, I can fully say. The game is still garbage. No longer can people hide behind the whole, "It's still in Early Access", because the devs had had years to get their game out of early access, and at this point. I just see WC labeling their game Early Acess so when they screw up, which is more than you think, they can fall back on the Early Access defense and it'll make it all justifiable.

You want to play Ark? Well prepare yourself. If you play on an Official Server, you're going to give up your life. I mean that literally. I honestly don't think the Ark Devs were even using their brain when it came to taming and effort required to grind, and I mean GRIND, levels to be safe and to not be destroyed by other tribes. Tames can take anywhere between 30 minutes to a good 18 hours of sitting there, making sure it's Torpor levels are high and it has enough food. When that lovely tedious task is finally done, you can exit the game, close your eyes, and get some well needed sleep. Only to find that dino you just tamed, died in the middle of the night because a player came and wiped you out.

If you don't want to waste your life away and die sitting in your chair like some hermit crab that shoots up a steady dose of heroine. Then play on an Un-Official server, where the timers are sometimes x10 or x5. Sadly, no matter how much fun you have. There's always going to be little fruitcakes on any server you play on. They'll just raid you, or pick you up and drop you, killing you, or ([In a Sarcastic tone] My favorite) lure your dinos into a dangerous part of the map or ocean and they'll die from either A, drowning, or B, wild dinos. All under the defense of, "It's a PvP server". I honestly HATE that defense. Just because it's a pvp server, doesn't give you an excuse to be an asstart.

Finally, there's PvE, where you play but don't fight any players. Instead, they build pillars and foundations everywhere to stop you from building, dinos spawning, or getting resources. Given, not often do people do this, but it happens. Most likely though, you'll get bored pretty fast cause there's nothing else to do besides tame and tame. You could always go into single player though, but honestly. That gets boring faster than anything. You'd probably end up talking to yourself like the Orphan Tulip in the Storks movie.

All in all, Ark: Survival Evolved, is a cesspool of triggered pre-teens and 40 year olds who have nothing better to do, than be bullies of other people because either they get a kick out of it, or because they're super insecure and want others to feel worse than them. Just my personal review on this game.
