lmfao. that sounds like some gen z stuff; "I died, therefore you lost". Maybe try hitting alt-f4 a little sooner when you roll off of ledges. even with your 2 friends holiding your hand through the game, you still died or have to quit-out to prevent losing your ember. lmao
