πŸ”ž ADULT: Roulette hero - Full Gallery 2025

Download the windows version for better visuals or if you're having issues with the web build

Spin the wheel. Fire your cannon. Beat the board.

Roulette Hero is a deckbuilder, a dungeon crawler, a game of chance

You play as a small figurine hero fighting through a mechanical tabletop dungeon. Each turn, the wheel decides what you get,  attack, defense, gold, healing. Battle through encounters and see how long you can last.

Between fights, visit the shop to upgrade your wheel, buy new slots and balls, and unlock passive totems that change how you play.

Build a strategy, take risks, and survive the machine one spin at a time.

wonderful game!

My graphics driver crashed after rapid colored flashing

I fought the endless hordes of our Lord's enemies for almost nigh a year before I was slain on the 318th day, ambushed by the cruel blades of three sword wielding bastards. If only my green bullets had thrice reclined on the velvet floor I would still be serving in my majesty's host.

There's a point where you need to go all green + nearly all red if you want tot survive longer

Yup thats right!

Agreed. seems like the only viable strategy for endless. I kept it going while watching a movie and racked up some waves, but at high levels it gets very repetitive. An option to speed time could be nice -- takes a while to score each individual ball.

I really enjoy the game. I think the mechanics are interesting and provide a nice combo of strategy and probability. Keep up the good work!

I do wish we could pay to refresh the store. I find it hard to get pieces I need for a late game (endless mode) set up capable of survival -- kind of rough when I'm being offered 6 attack taking up 3 spaces on wave 15 or 20.

im not sure if its just me having horrible luck but i have attacked 7 times in 3 runs, and lost very early every time, this game is completely unplayable for me

Very fun so far, a couple of bugs: In endless, when transitioning to the shop, the roulette wheel kept on spinning even when I bought a new spinning handle and clicked the lever to go to the next level, and the wheel kept on spinning on without stopping.

The other bug was before I beat the main game, and the last ball of a group of I think 5 seemed to hit a ball or the geometry of the tunnel weirdly and went BACK up the tube to the start, however after several moments the balls that went down still calculated so it was fine if unfortunate.

Alright, so...the aesthetic of the game is unmatched. The gameplay is pretty fun, and the crit mechanic is interesting. However, the screen kind of cuts off in the web version. Also, it feels like theres some sort of story here with the aesthetic, but thats not necessarily something you have to expand on.

Game's good fun and it's really addicting. I would like to see more totems / ball types as well. Keep it up thouhg.

Also, there’s a natural inclination to click-and-drag on an item from the shop to move it to the wheel, and this has the effect of buying additional things the cursor moves over rather than dragging the item.

Tons of fun.

Would love to have a β€œcrit” effect on money that raises the money cap. I saw the comment about limiting the number of physics objects, and you could potentially solve that by starting to use higher-valued chips for large amounts of money.

(1 edit)

nice. i am ok with the cap of money but i would like to see a speed up of any balls that don't matter, like you do with the money when hitting the max amount. like when you have max health i would like to see balls that don't crit skipped. or when the last opponent is defeated any armor that can't crit could be skipped.

Why would a player should pushing the lever every time? why doesn't it push automatically? there are no other actions anyway.

101, and im still going

you have a better build than me

Health is the way to go, its pretty much the only strat to reach high waves

(+2)

Might keep going tomorrow if my tab doesnt close

(1 edit)

I found you can go higher if you use a few green marbles with gold since gold is capped at 150 (11x), but green marble damages scales with health (only on red tiles) I got up to (200x). I did something like 10 gold and 5 green marbles, then both your health grows with crits as well as damage.  Setup I had was roughly the same board as yours but with 5 green marbles.

guys am i doing good

This game is cool!

the game has some bugs

  • you can trigger the lever twice if u click fast enough
  • if you spam click fast enough through the shop sequence and the fight (not sure if u must to spam through the fight) you can create multiple copies of enemies that are just visual
  • if you click the lever at the right time when the shop is about to come up the wheel will spin during the shop
  • related to the previous one when you move modules around as it spins you can get gaps in the wheel and overlapping modules

Other than that the game is very fun and looks to have great potencial :D

i just realized that the bug with the broken visuals actually skips waves

The game is very fun, but may I ask why the money is hard capped at $150?

Thank you! This is a prototype so we wanted to limit the number of physics objects in the world is a simple way

To stop me from achieving ultimate power

I guess because of one ball that scales with the amount of money you have

I had a really fun time figuring out the best strategy for both the short and the long game. Going to asume that endless mode can't catch up on me!

However, small bug: When you press the lever too quickly after finishing the level, the roulette starts to spin and the first 3 balls get thrown in, making it impossible to change the roulette during that shop turn.

Holy crap! Haven't seen anyone get this far before. Thanks for playing!

I really liked it.  I think it would be fun to have challenges.

Thank you!

I really enjoyed this game. I have zero complaints its incredibly fun. Well done keep it up

Thanks so much!

Reminded me of Insrcyption with the graphics, which is always great to see. I do think that flashing lights or big words saying "Big hit" or something could help stimulate my monkey brain

Now that you mention it, it does remind me of Inscryption (looking like a combination of Act 1 and 3's artstyle).

Thanks! Inscryption was definitely a big influence so we're glad it showed!

This is a lot of fun i look forward to seeing if you do more with it

Thank you!

Interesting concept. I feel it is lacking some juice. I've played the demo for Cloverpit and I couldn't help comparing the two games, and at the end of the day I did find the Cloverpit demo more engaging than Roulette Hero. I don't think every game needs flashing lights necessarily, but there's a certain je ne sais quois on this one that makes me feel less engaged with it. Maybe it's how much of the screen is dedicated to relatively static objects, while the roulette wheel is sort of off to the side with tiny little roulette balls? I'm not sure. I'll be interested to follow development on this one and see what comes of it - roulette is an under-utilized mechanic in games for sure!

(+1)

Yeah I think the use of space could definitely have been better, we learned a lot making this. If we ever take it further, we'll redesign the table.

(1 edit)

i liked it! very interesting game! i liked the style, graphics, music, all of them. I think you can add narratives. Also, it could be added that tiles can be joined together "etc. 4$ +4$ = 8$. However, i like it as it is too. The bug for left/right screen that is cutting letters is valid. me too i cant see the money quantity and effects description. they are trimmed

I had that too, just resize the window, or scroll over to the side and Fullscreen the gam

Thank you!

wow this game is just .. wow! Love the visual of it A LOT!
tbh, I think the deck building is not "that" fun(I mean it can be better! for real! It can be a hit game like CloverPit), I'm not sure but I think it might because player need to focus both on the gold and the attack, which make either part less fun.. I might be wrong haha, just my opinion.
I think this game is much more fun than slots and daggers haha! Keep working on it!!! I want to play a full version of this!

Thanks so much for the kind words!

cool game, finished.
on mac os/chrome the fullscreen mode "cut" on right and left and also the font are a bit too small.

Thanks for the feedback!

Fantastic little game with a great feel to it! Would absolutely love to see it fleshed out into a larger Inscryption-esque game with branching paths to take and a bit of narrative to match the vibes. I can definitely see the potential for various synergies, different boss strategies, and the need to reconfigure your wheel more between fights, but even as is I had a lot of fun and it was very satisfying to play (and very entertaining when I hit the wave 10 boss with enough low-damage balls that it nearly went clipping off the table XD)

Haha that sounds great! Thanks so much for the feedback

This is really cool! Definitely wears its influences on its sleeve.

Personally I think it lacks a more strategic/active element - I'd love to see how it plays if the spins reward you with the actions and then you decide which order to take them in and who to target. Many times at the start of the game lots of damage was wasted spending crits on a unit with only 3hp left!

(+2)

Yeah we debated whether to add enemy targeting, but in the end, we ran out of time at the jam. A larger version might add something like that

Still really RNG dependent : not enough gold on wave one, then killed by double 14 damage wave 2, happend to me multiple times

(+1)

The game went well, until endless mode, then the roulette bugged : Sections superposed on another, some parts of the roulette went black too.

Turning healing into damage is OP : as you only need 2 section types : healing and gold, instead of the 3 initial ones: and it doubles the value of the healing sections, it's quite needed as I couldn't win without this totem
