⚡ NEW: Anomalisa - Complete Album!

This is kind of a jigsaw game. The Mona Lisa was cut into 4x4 squares (don't worry, it's just a 2-bit replica), and those were shuffled around. The goal is to put the Mona Lisa back together.

On the title screen you can select the level with the up/down directions - this affects how much shuffling will happen. Then you can press Start (Enter if playing here with a keyboard) to try to solve the puzzle.

To solve the puzzle you move the cursor to select one of the 16 pieces, then you can press 🅰️/🅱️ (Z/X keys if playing here with a keyboard) and... here comes the tricky part: what these buttons do is randomized per game session. These are the possible options:

  • swap with the piece above it / below it / to the left / to the right (all these wrap around)
  • shift the current column up / column down / row left / row right (idem)
  • swap with the piece diametrically opposed to it (e.g. top left with bottom right)

If you've already solved the puzzle (or just want to give up), press start/Enter to go back to the title screen.

This game was made for the Honest Jam 8 game jam with the theme "Together".

This is a fun idea, would be cool to have some extra art to solve (and maybe some extra bg music)

Do the voices of the bg music shift based on how far each piece is from it’s intended place? This was delightful and actually quite hard at higher levels!

Not at all, it may have been just a coincidence 😅

(I don’t think it’s even possible to do it with the sound driver I’m using)

Speaking of the difficulty, it’s funny how it’s not that much correlated to the level because of the randomized operations (some combos are very easy for higher levels and others are very hard for lower levels)

10/10 would puzzle again
