The Espacito is a shmup where you may run out of space if you get careless. It's also the name of your ship, but that's not relevant.

There are four laser walls which can kill you instantly. Every few seconds one of their "eyes" will wake up and begin moving, shrinking your available area until you hit it.

Controls

• W, S, A, D: move your ship
• Mouse: move your target
• Mouse-1: shoot
• Esc or Tab: menu

Ludum Dare

The Espacito was originally my entry for the Ludum Dare 42 game jam. The theme was "Running out of space". I'm adding more post-jam content to it during my free time, turning it into a full-fledged game

I tried making almost all the assets by myself. The only exception are the fonts, “game over” (https://www.1001fonts.com/game-over-font.html) and "Nova mono" (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Nova+Mono)
