OZZY OSBOURNE: 1948�2025 THE MADMAN IS GONE

Ozzy Osbourne died yesterday, July 22nd, at the age of 76. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by Sharon and his family�just 17 days after his farewell concert in Birmingham, �Back to the Beginning.� A perfect title to close a full circle.



Born in 1948 in Aston, Birmingham, Ozzy became the voice that shook the world in 1968 with Black Sabbath. That deep, wicked growl, the heavy riffs, the lyrics soaked in darkness and rebellion� He didn�t just help invent heavy metal�he gave it a face, a sound, and a name.



In 1979, after getting fired from Sabbath, he launched a solo career that turned into legend: �Blizzard of Ozz,� �Crazy Train,� �No More Tears�... Grammy awards, 13 studio albums, and two Hall of Fame inductions: one with Black Sabbath (2006) and one as a solo artist (2024). Not bad for someone who was never supposed to make it this far.



But Ozzy wasn�t just metal. He was pop culture. �The Osbournes� on MTV (2002�2005) was the first chaotic, hilarious, and brutally honest celebrity reality show. It changed TV forever.



He battled Parkinson�s since 2003 (publicly in 2020), had serious respiratory problems, and yet� he sang one last time, sitting down, at Villa Park on July 5th, alongside the original Sabbath lineup. That final gig raised money for children�s hospitals and Parkinson�s research.

When asked what he wanted his legacy to be, he said: "Survival. I'm still fucking here."

And now he�s not. But he�ll never be gone.
Because Ozzy wasn�t just the bat-biting, drug-fueled Prince of Darkness.
He was the guy who turned pain into power, chaos into music, and madness into immortality.

Rest in power, legend.
