THE RUNNING MAN 2025

The Running Man is back. That 1987 movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger �a true 80s action classic� now returns as a reboot, and Trailer 2 is already making the rounds online.

What many people don�t realize is that it all started with a novel by Stephen King, published in 1982 under the pen name Richard Bachman. The book imagined a dystopian future where entertainment and violence went hand in hand, with a deadly TV contest where surviving was the only way to win.

Back in 1987 the premise was straightforward: a dystopia where convicts could �redeem� themselves by entering a deadly TV show. The game was simple: survive the manhunt broadcast to millions; Arnold battled through environments designed almost like video game levels, facing off against stalkers and elaborate traps. That version had all the exaggerated flavor of the 80s and, fun fact, was set in the �future� of 2019 �which today feels both nostalgic and ridiculous.





The new version shifts gears: with Glen Powell in the lead, the show is no longer a closed circuit but a nightmare on a massive scale. Now the chase isn�t limited to a set: the whole country becomes the hunting ground, anyone can try to kill you, and it�s all broadcast without mercy. And here�s the crucial twist: contestants must survive 30 days under this relentless hunt. Make it through those 30 days and you win; fail, and you die on live TV.

That shift �making time the ultimate threshold� pushes the tension to another level. It�s no longer about dodging one or two gimmicky villains; it�s about enduring an entire month as live bait, with the city as the stage and the cameras capturing every move. It feels way more brutal, more raw, and above all, more recognizable as a modern dystopia.

So the question remains: do you stick with Arnold�s 80s testosterone or go for Glen Powell�s darker, grittier take?

PREDATOR: BADLANDS

It�s been almost 40 years since that monster with metallic dreadlocks and an impossible jaw terrified Arnold Schwarzenegger in the jungle.
Since then, Predator has become an absolute icon of action and sci-fi cinema. And although the saga has had every kind of high and low, each new release still sparks curiosity.

The latest chapter is �Predator: Badlands�, directed by Dan Trachtenberg (the same guy behind Prey).

AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH. NEW TRAILER

Disney and 20th Century Studios have dropped the new trailer for �Avatar: Fire and Ash�, the third film in James Cameron�s saga, hitting theaters on December 19.

This time, Jake Sully and his family go to war against an enemy Na�vi tribe with dark origins. Alongside Sam Worthington, the cast brings back Zoe Salda�a, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet and more, while Oona Chaplin and David Thewlis make their debuts as new characters.

The saga remains a historic phenomenon: the first �Avatar� (2009) is still the highest-grossing film of all time, and its sequel �The Way of the Water� (2022) climbed to the third spot worldwide.

James Cameron already has plans for a fourth film in 2029 and a fifth in 2031.

AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH

The first trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash is finally here. James Cameron is back at it with the third chapter of the highest-grossing saga in film history � and he�s not holding back. New landscapes, new tribes, new enemies, and the same sky-high ambition as always.

It all started back in 2009 with Avatar, a visual revolution that turned Pandora into a cinematic icon. Then came The Way of Water, which took us deep into the ocean and reminded us that this story isn�t just about stunning visuals � it�s about emotions, family, and survival. There are explosions, flaming banshees, flying ships, new creatures, volcanic chaos, and that familiar feeling that Cameron�s not here to play it safe, but to raise the bar all over again. They�re saying this might be the most intense chapter yet, and after watching the trailer, it�s easy to believe. The film is set to hit theaters on December 19, so buckle up � we�re headed back to Pandora, and it�s gonna be wild.

JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH

Five years after the events of Jurassic World: Dominion, most dinosaurs have vanished as the Earth�s ecosystem has become hostile to them. The few that remain survive in isolated tropical zones that resemble their original habitats. In this context, a powerful pharmaceutical company hires covert operations expert Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) to lead a secret mission: collect DNA from the three most colossal creatures of land, sea, and air � a genetic breakthrough that could lead to a revolutionary drug.

28 YEARS LATER

Almost three decades after the Rage virus escaped from a lab, the UK remains under relentless quarantine. Survivors have learned to live among the infected, building isolated communities in a ruined world. One of those communities exists on Lindisfarne Island, connected to the mainland by a single, heavily guarded causeway. When a father and his son leave the safety of the island and venture into the heart of the mainland, they uncover secrets, wonders, and horrors�proof that both the infected and the survivors have changed in terrifying ways.

Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland�the creative duo behind 28 Days Later�this new chapter marks their long-awaited return to the saga. Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes, among others. While Cillian Murphy, the original film�s lead, doesn�t appear in this entry, he returns as executive producer and could make a comeback in the sequels.

28 Years Later is the third installment in the franchise, following 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). It hits theaters on June 20, 2025, kicking off a brand-new trilogy. The next chapter, 28 Years Later: The Temple of Bone, is already in the can and set for release on January 16, 2026.

SUPERMAN: LEGACY

There was a time, back in the '90s, when going to the movies felt like a weekend ritual. Every Friday brought new and varied releases. There was always something that grabbed your attention�maybe a wild comedy, an action flick full of explosions, or a story that hit you right in the feels. Not every movie was a masterpiece, but most of them did the job: they entertained you, made you laugh, pulled you in. And the best part? You walked out of the theater feeling like it was worth it, like you hadn't been ripped off. (Back then, 4 euros got you a ticket, popcorn, and a drink.)

Nowadays, though, it�s hard to find something that actually makes you want to pay for the big screen experience. Weeks can go by without a single release that doesn�t feel recycled, predictable, or just plain boring. I don�t know if it�s me getting pickier, the industry running out of ideas and cash, or a mix of both. But in this case, it really does feel like the �good old days� weren�t just nostalgia�things really were better back then.

DC just dropped a nearly five-minute clip on YouTube featuring David Corenswet as Superman, along with his dog, Krypto. The video shows a wounded Superman in a frozen, icy setting.

THE NEW SUPERMAN MOVIE

On July 11, 2025, the new Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, will hit theaters, promising to be the start of a new era for the DC universe. This time, actor David Corenswet dons the cape to portray a Clark Kent striving to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human life. Alongside him, Rachel Brosnahan will play a strong-willed Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of the iconic Lex Luthor.

The movie won�t be an origin story but will show us an already established Superman facing new challenges and connecting with other DC heroes, like Hawkgirl and Green Lantern. The first trailer has already given us a glimpse of what�s to come: action, emotion, and even an appearance by Krypto, the superdog.

FROM THE WORLD OF JOHN WICK: BALLERINA

From the World of John Wick: Ballerina is an upcoming suspense and action film directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten. It�s a spin-off and the fifth movie in the John Wick franchise. Starring Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a ballerina assassin previously portrayed by Unity Phelan in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, with Ian McShane and Keanu Reeves reprising their roles as Winston Scott and John Wick from previous films.

The plot is set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, and Ballerina follows Eve Macarro as she begins her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.
