Santa outside my window

FarmQuest Country Christmas Challenge has a brand-new challenge for you to join!

This challenge blog is all about celebrating the cozy, rustic charm of country life during the holidays — think barns, wildlife, snow-covered fields, and all things outdoorsy and festive!

Each challenge is Anything Goes, as long as it captures that country Christmas feel.

We are a just-for-fun challenge, but you could earn our Grand Champion Winner Badge (with a Guest DT invite) or proudly display our Wintery Top 3 Badge on your blog or socials.

My project features a wintery Christmas scene made with die-cuts.

I started with an embossed background then cut the red window frame and added foam tape to the back.  I created the Santa sled scene with another die cut and black cardstock.  After putting it all together, I added a sprig of greenery and a silver bow.

I can’t wait see what you create — and don’t forget to check out the blog for beautiful inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

Happy crafting!

We did NOT run over Grandma

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is Something with a "SENTIMENT" - don't forget, your creation must be Christmas themed and feature a cute image.

We have moved to a JUST FOR FUN challenge and I hope you will continue to play along so you have a chance to proudly display our Winners Badge or Top 3 Badge.

This funny little image is from Bugaboo, sadly no longer in business.  I've made a similar card in the past and this sentiment is one of my faves.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Christmas Night

This month at Winter Wonderland our challenge theme is "Reindeer". We don't have a sponsor for this challenge so this month, it's just for fun!

I decided to use two stamps by Lavinia Stamps, Christmas Night and Christmas Tree Group to create my card.

I started with stamping the trees with Versamark and black embossing powder, then did the same with Santa and his Reindeer and set it with my heat gun.  I started blending with Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Inks with a touch of Wilted Violet for the sky.

Similar to this card, I used Texture Paste by Ranger with my Snow Flurry stencil by Taylored Expressions to create a winter snowfall.  Finished it off with some ribbon and Shimmer Spray.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas cards and for some extra inspiration, make sure you check out our Design Team's creations.

Very Merry Reindeer

Join me for our new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties!  Our theme for this challenge is "Rudolph & Friends".

I didn't intend on making two cards however I felt something was missing on my first attempt so I decided to make another with patterned paper and a few more deer.

The stamp set is called Reindeer and a Tree by Gerda Steiner Designs and I also purchased the matching dies which makes things so much easier than fussy cutting around these little cuties!

I used Copic markers, added some accents with a white gel pen and used glossy accents on various parts for some dimension.  The words are from the Christmas Reverse Sentiment Strips available at Simon Says Stamp.

Now it's your turn to show us your Christmas project and make sure you check out the Design Team's creations for some inspiration and remember - projects must be Christmassy and have to be Cute!

Reindeer Farts

It's Monthly Challenge time at Christmas Craft Creations!  Our theme this month is Use a Die Cut! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe, hopefully soon we can get back to a somewhat normal life.  In the meantime, time to craft!

This funny little image is Reindeer Farts from Whimsy Stamps.  Okay, I think the word fart is hilarious.  What can I say, I have a house full of stinky boys so of course I had to buy this image!

I colored the image with copic markers and used my circle die cut on the image then used the paper cutter to straighten one edge.  On the background paper, I used the next circle die cut up and ran it through my machine.  I added a metal snowflake and baker's twine to finish it off.

I hope you have as much fun with your image and die cuts as I did!  Make sure to hope over and check out the DT creations!

Finish the Inside with Creative Knockouts

I'm sitting here at my desk, gazing outside at the beautiful snow and feeling quite peaceful.  While we are not experiencing the deep freeze temperatures like some parts of the Province, for Vancouverites we're freezing!  Coming from a small town up north, my family is used to this weather and I love it, much better than the buckets of rain we normally get this time of year.

With the weather we've been having, it's hard to think about Valentine's Day however I persevered forward for our new challenge at Creative Knockouts.

Our challenge is "Finish the Inside" and our sponsor is Di's Digi Stamps. The winner of this challenge will receive a $6 gift certificate to their store!

I have a soft spot for moose, up north it's not uncommon to see them wandering through the neighborhood so when I saw this image I had to have it.  This is Mortimer the Motivational Moose from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps. He's soooo darn cute!  The image comes with two motivational verses plus a blank one to create your own.  Since I wanted to make a Valentine's Day card, I chose "I 💓 U".

Of course, staying with the Valentine's theme, the inside sentiment.

I hope you are all staying warm enough to create and finish those insides!  Have fun!

Prize:  $6 gift certificate

With Christmas just around the corner, I'm sure we are all now in the frenzy of decorating and wrapping presents ... Rudolph is no exception!

This image by The Paper Shelter is What a Mess and I have to admit I think I look like that too!! Along with Copic markers, I also used Spica markers to add a bit of sparkle and wrapped it up with a bow.

I would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Prize:  3 digis

#Reindeergames at Creative Knockouts

It's an ANYTHING GOES challenge over at Creative Knockouts!  Time to brush off that workspace of yours and get down and dirty - show us what you got!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sheepski Designs and the lucky winner will receive 3 images of their choice!

I LOVE this image, Rudolph's Selfie and it makes me smile every time I look at it!

I colored the image with Copic markers and let me tell you, I was having some difficulties.  Trying to match the coloring in both pictures proved to be a challenge for me - none the less, I love it anyways!

I cased the design/layout from Sheepski Designs, I really liked the background and wanted to give it a shot (needs some work, forgot about matching the image again!).

I used a white gel pen to add some dimension on the nose(s) and as falling snow.  I sprayed some Pewter Spritz and added glossy accent to the nose(s) and stuck on some bling.  The hashtag "#reindeergames" was computer generated.

For the layout I was trying to find the right patterned paper but felt the image was lost in the patterns I had so I stuck with CAS.

Make sure you check out the amazingly creative creations from our Design Team then it's your turn to have some fun.

Prize:  3 images

Challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge - S for Sparkle and T for texture (glossy accents)

A is for Anything Christmas as ABC Christmas Challenge!

It's the start of a New Year so that means a new start on the alphabet ... time for the letter A to make an appearance with our new challenge "Anything Christmas".

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps!  The winner will receive 7 digis of their choice, that's right SEVEN!

I will admit that the sentiment is not my creation.  While surfing Blogland I came across this card by Bunny's Cards and thought it was the funniest sentiment ever, considering the guilty expressions on the trio's faces I burst out laughing.  I knew I had to make a card using her idea and here it is.

The image is Reindeer Trio by Bugaboo and I used my copic and spectrum noir markers to color it up.  I also used glossy accents on quite a few areas of the card.  I decided to add the ribbons like I did to kinda simulate jail bars, hee hee.
