Tropi-Bloom Thank You

Hello all! I'm back with one of my creations using Tropi-Blooms by Kate Hadfield Designs.

I colored the image with Copic markers then went to work fussy cutting as my Silhouette didn't behave properly and fully cut the image :(

After that was done I used the "thanks" die-cut by Simon Says Stamp multiple times then glued them all together for some extra dimension.  I applied foam tape to the flowers down then glued the sentiment in the center.  To finish it off I added some black Nuvo drops around the image.

Summer Trainers

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is For the Girls.

Our sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous All Dressed Up and the lucky winner will receive 2 images of their choice!

I chose to work with Summer Trainers for this challenge. I think this image is so cute!

I colored the image with Copic markers and searched my stash of papers until I found the right combo.  I came across this card by Stacey at Stacey's Creative Corner and loved the layout so decided to give it a try.

I used square die-cuts by Spellbinders on the image and blue and yellow papers then tried to get them as even and straight as possible! The sentiment is computer generated using my new Cricut Joy to write the sentiment then cut out the banner and banner background.

Sketched Flowers

It's time for another fab challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our theme for this challenge is Embossing Delight - heat or dry embossing, the choice is yours!

Our sponsor for this challenge is our very own Kelly and she is generously donating a $25 Close to My Heart surprise package!

I recently purchased a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, it's called Sketched Flowers. It comes with this beautiful flower bouquet as well as single stamps and sentiments, it's a lovely set.

Now I'm a Copic girl at heart but for this card I decided to try using watercolors.  I used Versa Mark then stamped the image onto watercolor paper.  I sprinkled gold embossing powder all over the card then used my heat gun to set the powder then I started painting. I have to admit it was easier that I had expected although the images are not small and intricate.

To finish it off I sprayed the face of the card with Metallic Gold spray - overall I'm really happy with the results and had fun with my watercolors.

Lots of Layers

Welcome back for our next challenge at Creative Knockouts.  For this challenge, we want you to layer it up, that's right - show us lots of layers.  This is always a fun challenge and a great way to showcase those background papers.

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter and they graciously provided me with this image,  A Piggie's Happy Place, how cute is this little pig!

I colored piggy with Copic markers then added Wink of Stella to the black spots, glossy accents on the flowers and stickles on the butterflies.  The "Thanks" die-cut is a no-name brand that I picked up probably over a year ago and have never used it until now.  I like how it looks and hope to use it more often.

For the banners I decided not to stick them down flat with tape, I just used tape on the top portion and slightly curled the ends up for a little more added dimension. The background papers are from the Summer Fresh collection by Simple Stories and the Kraft paper flowers are from Michaels.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations!
