New Craft Rocket Challenge - Use Embossing

We're back today on the Craft Rocket Challenge Blog with a new challenge:

For this challenge we want you to use embossing on your projects.  For more details about the challenge and to see the cards from the rest of the team, head over to the challenge blog here.

To make my card I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder which is new to me from a destash group.  The blue card I used is from Craft Creations and I used navy blue card from Hobbycraft for my layers.

Then I used the First Steps stamp set from Stampin' Up for the footprints and sentiment both stamped in Night of Navy ink from Stampin' Up.  The gingham paper is from Craft Creations.

I finished the card with some punched navy blue dots.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Something a Little Bit Different and Port Sunlight Show

Just to prove that I don't just do stamping, here's a card I made at the weekend using a LacΓ© template I bought a little while back and have just started experimenting with!  I've got a couple of the traditional templates that you cut with a blade but this one goes through the Cuttlebug machine and cuts the shape out as well as the little pieces to fold to make the shape - very clever!!

I've layered the card up with black and white card - the main white layer was put through the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder but it doesn't show up too well on the photo.  I finished the card off with some Card Candi coloured with my black Promarker.

A couple of challenges for this card:

Dream Valley Challenges - 'monochrome'
Anything Goes Challenge Blog - 'use die cuts'

And if anyone is going to be at the HSNW show at Port Sunlight on Saturday, please say hello if you spot me!  I'll be around most of the day and will be at the card competition table at the end of the day if you're still around by then!

Just for You ....

For this card I've used a new stamp from the Greetings Farm 'Miss Anya Love' set.  I die cut the easel card using a set of rectangle dies from Go Kreate - the brown base layer was also embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  The paper is from Pink Petticoat and the two sentiment tags from Craftwork Cards.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Stampin' for the Weekend - 'my favourite things' (the easel card, pink and brown colour combintation, the Anya stamp, my Cuttlebug)
Divas by Design - die cuts and punches (my dots are punched and the card layers are die cut)
I Love Promarkers - 'include flowers' (second entry)
My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge - 'something old, something new' (the stamp and paper are new and the die cuts and embossing folder are old)

Fun in the Snow

Despite the warm weather today I've made another Christmas card!  For this one I've used one of my Elzybells stamps - a very cute design that is nice and easy to colour.  I wanted to make the card pink (see below for my challenge entries) but didn't have any suitable patterned paper.  Instead, I Cuttlebugged a panel of card and layered it with white card.  I added Card Candy to finish the design.

I'd like to enter the card in the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge - 'M is for monochrome'
Bah Humbug - 'penguins'
Winter Wonderland - 'pretty in pink'

Here Comes the Sun!

The paper I've used on this card comes from a Pink Petticoat pad that was free with a magazine I bought this week and as soon as I saw this particular design, I thought it would be perfect for a summer themed card.

I've used one of my Greetings Farm Anya stamps and a peel off phrase from Little Claire Deisgns.  I've added a Cuttlebugged strip of card across the middle of the card, some black peel off lines, faux stitching and some Card Candy.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Saturday Challenge - embossing
Anything Goes Challenge Blog - 'here comes summer'
Pollycraft - 'travel/holidays'
Papertake Weekly - 'here comes the sun'
Crafts and Me Challenges - 'we are in stitches'
I Love Promarkers - 'anything goes'

Rainbow Chloe

This is one of the newest stamp designs from Pink Gem called 'Rainbow Chloe' - I couldn't resist it when I saw it previewed on the blog recently! The papers I've used are from a pad that came free with one of the magazines recently - I thought these pastel ones went perfectly with the image.  I added a Cuttlebugged panel (swiss dots folder) across the middle of the card and added some punched flowers.  The card blank is from Craftwork Cards.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Lexi's Creations - 'no sentiment'
Anything Goes Challenge - 'here comes summer'
Sweet Stampin' Blog - 'things with wings' (the butterflies on the image)
Totally Papercrafts - 'die cuts and punches'
Stamp Something - 'something with pretty papers'

Oscar With Flowers

This is another card made with one of the very cute 'Oscar' images from DigiStamp Boutique - this one is 'Oscar with Flowers'.  I've used some green card and green gingham paper from Crafts Creations - the panel to the left of the card has been Cuttlebugged with the swiss dots folder although it doesn't show up that well on the photo.  I've added some white Card Candy and a peel off greeting.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

DigiStamp Boutique - May customer competition
My Mum's Craft Shop - 'flowers'
Craft Us Crazy - 'flowers'
One Stitch at a Time - 'emboss it'

Pink Elephant!

This is one of my all time favourite Little Claire stamps - it's such a cute image and another easy one to colour!  I've used it with some pink and brown card and Cuttlebugged the pink card with my swiss dots embossing folder.  The flowers are punched and I've added little pink pearls to the centre of each flower.

I'd like to enter the card in the following challenges:

Anythings Goes - 'pearls'
Allsorts Challenge - I've followed their sketch
A Spoonful of Sugar - 'all creatures great and small'
Sweet Stamps - 'for the ladies'

Cupcake Tree

Last card for today!  This one was made using the 'Cupcake Tree' set from Little Claire Designs - the little row of cupcakes is from the same set.  I've just used pink and brown card to put the card together - the base has a scalloped oval on it although you can only see part of it and I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder on this and the pink panel on the top of the card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Wild Orchid Challenge - 'dieing to punch it out'
Charisma Cardz - 'to die for'
Alphabet Challenge - 'T is for trees'
Stamp Something - 'stamp something sweet'
Craft Us Crazy - 'cupcakes'
Let's Ink It Up - 'die cuts/punches'
Paper Sundaes - 'embossing'
