Autumn Wreath by PSX

I spent about 8 hours in my craft room yesterday, pulling everything out and trying to organize.  I purchased a storage cabinet a while back and finally put it together and have it in the room.  I dismantled my drafting table and put that in the barn.  I plan on attaching a table top to the wall that will fold down.  If I need to cut mats (I am also a professional picture framer) then I have the table but otherwise it will be out of the way.  So after hauling all that stuff around yesterday (the majority of which is still in my living room), I sat down to play a bit.

I began with a piece of glossy card stock, some Adirondack dye inks in fall colors and my stipple brushes to make the background paper.  Then I stamped 3 different leaves in various colors onto it.  Kind of cool.  The wreath is an old PSX stamp, I found while cleaning and it just begged to be colored with my Copic markers.  This time I stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa onto Cryogen white from Cutcardstock.  Copics used:
Leaves - Y38, YR02, YR04, YR12, YR15, YR18, R05, YG03
Acorns - E43, E13
Berries - Lipstick Spica pen
Shadow - E42
I airbrushed YR21 before removing the image from my Spellbinders Labels 3 die.  The leaf border punch is from Fiskars.  I did not have card stock that matched like I wanted, so I stippled Adirondack Red Pepper on to it so it matched closer.  I also stippled Adirondack Cranberry onto the ribbon to tone down the gold.  It makes everything blend so well.  A few gold gems and I was done.  Finished size is 5.5" square.

Easter Tilda

The challenge on Our Creative Corner today is to use a tag. I had colored this Tilda a while ago and this gave me the incentive to get her done!

I cut the tag with my Spellbinders Scalloped Tag die. Then I plastered it with flowers, think I might have gone a little overboard, but I was on a roll. The flowers are from Prima Got Flowers, the branch is a Martha Stewart punch.

I just think she is adorable. Hope she brings a smile to your face. Thanks for stopping by.

Holiday Nikko

This is my first Christmas card of the year. I thought if I make a few each month, I will not be so rushed come December (yeah, right!)

Nikko is another wonderful stamp from DogGoneStamps. I stamped him on Cryogen white with Memento black ink.

Copics used:
Fur - W1, W3
Nose - W5
Inner Ears - R20
Wreath - G40, G82
Bow - R46

I used a blender pen to soften the colors on his fur. I airbrushed the rhinestones by Nikko, red to match the ribbon. I used a gold Spica pen on the bells on Nikko's bow. The DP is from Hobby Lobby, so is the ribbon. Finished size is 5.5 x 4.25 inches.

New scenic blog and a Suspicious Pup

I have decided to split my scenic stamping off from the rest of my work. That way anyone who is only interested in scenes can subscribe to my scenic blog.

Now to my card for today, I am again using one of my new stamps from DogGoneStamps. He is called Suspicious Pup, but I think he looks like a Secret Agent man.

I stamped him on Cryogen white with Memento black ink then colored him with my Copics. I used my Spellbinder Long Rectangle Nesties to die cut his panels as well as the saying panels. The DP is from Wild Asparagus. I used my airbrush to color the pearls and rhinestones to match the paper.

Feeling Green

I thought this wonderful frog image from Doggonestamps looked a little green and under the weather. So I thought he would make a good Get Well card.

This was a super fast card to make. I used my Spellbinders Label One die to cut out all the panels. I colored with Copics of course and airbrushed the background around the frog while he was still in the die.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture to the darker green panel. I thought it kind of looked like animal hide. Finished size is 5" square.

Elephant from DogGonestamps

Here is another adorable image from Doggonestamps I chose to use this image for the sketch challenge 215 on SplitCoastStampers.

I thought the sketch would look good as color blocks rather than pattern paper, although I did use two Cuttlebug embossing folders for some texture.

I stamped my image on Cryogen white with Memento black ink. As always I colored him with my Copic markers. I used my Copic airbrush system to color the flowers and the rhinestones to match the card. Finished size is 5x7 inches.

Smile!

Here is another one of the new dog images from DogGoneStamps. How is that for a smile?

I used this weeks SFYTT from Jen del Muro to showcase this great stamp. The DP is from Heidi Grace, the floral pattern is the reverse side of the stripe. I thought it perfectly suited this handsome guy.

Very little coloring on this cutie, I used my Copic Warm Grays 1 and 3 for the body, B32 for the eyes and R21 for the tongue. I airbrushed the pearls to match with B95.

What a great sketch, thanks Jen. Finished size is 5x7 inches.

Gonna Write Myself a Letter

Is this pup from Doggonestamps just the cutest thing? He concentrates just like I do with my tongue stuck out, lol.

I stamped the image on Cryogen paper with Memento black ink, then colored him with my Copics. I cut him out and mounted him on the card stock, but then did not like the color of the paper so I used my Copics to change it. This entire card was made from scraps of paper I had laying around. I airbrushed the hearts and square brads with E59 to make them look bronze colored.

I used my Spellbinder Nesties to cut out different sizes and just played around until I got a layout I liked. Finished size is 6" square
