The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #83 - Y is for Yippee!

Edna's celebrating our new challenge at SoSS with ticker tape AND Champagne! Go Edna!

This challenge is all about cards and projects which send Congratulations for those very special moments in our lives where we might shout Yippee: birthdays, anniversaries, graduations... And reductions in the cost of gin at your local supermarket!

I've made this card for my bestie, Jacquie. She lives in Solihull and likes a drop, or two, of Mother's Ruin! I need say no more on the subject!

Please come and joy us as we celebrate over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. The Sistahs have created some great projects for your delight and inspiration AND we have our rather wonderful Guest Designer, Becca Cruger, a.k.a the Damsel of Distressed, on board to get you in the mood.

Rubber Dance Challenge April 15th - 30th

I had a little time to play in my craft room late this afternoon (but I gardened all morning, honest!)

My good blogging buddy, Gail, is on the DT for Rubber Dance Art Stamps and I've often wanted to play along with their challenges, but never managed to find the time. That is until now!

I feel really bad that this isn't a Rubber Dance stamp, but their challenge rules say it isn't an essential requirement. I have just purchased some gorgeous Rubber Dance stamps that are earmarked for some different projects, so hopefully the girls will cut me some slack!

The 'quote' was done on my PC and then I added the rather fabulous Technique Junkies cat. I just knew this was the card I wanted to make as soon as I saw the theme for the Rubber Dance Challenge. The background stamp, which is barely visible, is from MFT.

Now a nice beer and a curry are calling my name, so I better go... It would be rude not to!

Naughty or Nice Challenges - Challenge #38 Reminder

For my card I decided to concentrate on the 'three of something' element of the challenge. I have a little double entendre going on here, which I hope doesn't offend anyone. Seeing as this is a 'three of something' challenge perhaps I actually have a triple entendre going on!

I played with some lovely MFT goodies, and then added the top sentiment from a Concord and 9th set. The cheeky bit was added on my PC.

My teamies had fun with this challenge, and their inspiration cards are waiting here for your entertainment and enjoyment!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #82 - E is for Elegant!

Well, Swit Swoo, Edna, just look at you looking all stylish and elegant in readiness for Challenge #82!

Try as I may, I cannot get a good picture of this card. I used this lovely image from AI, but only inked-up two out of the four ladies with the help of a little low-tack masking tape.

My Sistahs have created some truly brilliant cards for this challenge, so please come and take a look!

Something different...

Sometimes it's good to step outside your comfort zone and create something different. I love this stamp from Technique Junkies and enjoyed pairing those lovely legs with a MFT background and lots of gorgeous sequins!

Hope my friend, Kerry, likes her card.

Have a happy day!

Always Fun - Challenge #1

Turns out there's a new challenge blog in town!

Two of my Naughty or Nice Teamies are on the DT, so I thought I'd play along and support their new venture.

It's an 'Anything Goes' Challenge this week, so I decided to take some inspiration from the spotty banner, and came up with this! I always enjoy MFT cats and dogs so much; Torico is such a talented designer.

All the very best to the Always Fun gang, I'm sure this new challenge is going to be a blast!

Card Chain Challenge Reveal - March 2017

Welcome to another Card Chain Reveal post!

Today, over on the CCC blog, we're showcasing all the beautiful cards that were swapped during the month of March.

Here's my offering for the March challenge. I really love the Winnie and Walter set In Bloom: Renee's Leaves. I originally opened the packet with the idea of creating an underwater scene, however, the leaves morphed into newly unfurled spring leaves instead!

I fairly 'swooned' at the colour palette, and finally (after much debate) opted for sequins from the product list. There's always so much choice over at CCC!

I sent my card to the lovely Lorraine in England. My sender was also a UK resident: Mrs A in England, who created this wonderful shaker card which catches the light beautifully!

There's still a few days until the April sign up closes. The colour combo for April is scrummy and I'm loving the simple, elegant sketch which Deborah has provided. We had 23 participants from around the world in our March reveal, but would love to see that number increase with additional crafters joining the chain!

Sisterhood of Snarky Stamps Challenge #81 - S is for Silly

Oh, Edna, what are you doing?

The new theme over at SoSS is a bit of a dafty as we're going totally Silly for Challenge #81!

This was not the card I had planned, but I just couldn't get this idea out of my head! In the end I caved and so here's the result! I love this little MFT pooch. I also love the MFT background stamp - what a beauty.

Wanna join us for some serious silliness? Course you doooooooo...

Naughty or Nice Challenge #38 - Three of Something with an Easter Twist!

It's time for a new challenge over at Naughty or Nice! And just look at the adorable graphic Danielle has created: sweeeeeet!
This month we are looking for Three of Something and we're adding the option of an Easter twist!
My Easter Twist isn't obvious until you read the wording! My 'Three' element is three colours: pink, blue and magenta. Not a combination I often pick, but I liked the colours on the packaging for this AI cutey, so went with them!

The Troublemakers had plenty of both naughty and nice fun for this challenge, so why not join us!
