Yet more kitty fun!

I thought I'd just drop by to mention there's still time to play along in our tribute challenge over at The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge, where we're remembering creator of The Cat Lovers Hop, Janis Woolbright!

I do love this cool dude from Your Next Stamp. What a pity this company is closing it's online store.

He just HAD to be a ginger boy and was so much fun to colour!

Mmmmm, it appears there's just time for a quick cat meme or two...

Have a happy Friday, everyone.

Playing at Some Cat Challenges...

I've had a little time for yet another play with that gorgeous Penny Black set I bought on eBay. Isn't this little sorcerers apprentice the cutest?

I wanted to put him on a purple background, but am nearly out of purple cardstock (😱😱😱). It's ok, I've ordered some more. 😌 I sorted through my snippets box and found some lovely bits of card which I cut to size and then ran through my Cuttlebug using a favourite embossing folder.  Phew, what a lifesaver snippets can be!

I'm entering my card at The Snippets Playground Challenge #465, because... well, SNIPPETS rock!

And I'm also linking at Lost Coast Design where they're supporting The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge with a fabulously, fun Cat Themed Challenge

My little wizard will also be able to cast his spells at Show Us Your Pussycats Anything Goes and Meow-Loween.

And also at Crazy for Cats Challenge #12...

Have a happy Thursday!

Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge Day - #16

Ooooops, guess who forgot to schedule her post for today!

It's Day #16 of The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge where we're remembering our dear friend Janis. Today, we're meeting yet more of our generous sponsors and one of them is a great favourite of mine: Lawn Fawn.

I made these cards using this sweet set Lawn Fawn Pawsitive Christmas.

Mmmmmm, I'll be slipping some glue under that frame where it's lifted!

We're also welcoming two new sponsors to the challenge...

In my opinion, Seven Hills Crafts is one of the very best online crafting shops in the UK and is my 'go to' store. I have no idea how owners Rick and Tara turn around my orders so quickly - if they were any faster there would be a knock on the door as soon as I clicked confirm order!

I bought this set from their store and can't stop inking-up this adorable cat in a hat.

Our second new sponsor is also based in the UK and are called Time for TeaThey are kindly offering the stamp and die set I used to make this cute card...

And if you like Highland cows (well, who doesn't) just take a look at this little set in the Time for Tea store.

I'm so grateful to all of these sponsors for supporting our challenge. If you'd like to join us in our tribute challenge please head here.

Oooooo, look! It's me and all the cats I want!

Hocus Pocus one last time...

Hi guys, I've been having such a blast playing with the Penny Black Spooky set I bought recently on eBay. Isn't this guy so much fun! I'm so sorry I cant find a store to link to that still sells this set.

I'm going to link this little chap at the following challenges:

There's so much spooky fun on offer at LCD for the whole of October!

I don't think this little vampire will be scaring anyone at AI Challenge #362
but I'll link him anyway!
What a great little challenge this is! Please check out

And another fab, feline-themed challenge - Show Us Your Pussycats

All this and it's only Tuesday! Have a good one, Peeps!

The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge - Reminder

During October over at The Christmas Kickstart we're remembering our friend and fellow crafter Janis Woolbright who, for 8 years, ran the Cat Lovers Hop on her blog. This was a 'must play' event for all Cardland cat lovers and a real red letter day on our crafting calendar. Sadly, Janis passed away at the start of this year, so myself and some of her helpers from her Hops are paying tribute to her with The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge.

We're already half way through our challenge and as I'm typing this there are 73 entries in our Linky Gallery. If you're not already playing, please take a look at the Day #1 post and come and join the fun!

Today, I'm sharing two cards made for this challenge...

If I can, I do love to do a little storytelling with my cards and so I really enjoyed using Jane's Doodles set O Christmas Tree she's created for Creative Expressions. In my head these two are called Morgan and Murphy! No, I have no idea why, but aren't they adorable.

I also made this tag-shaped card for Gail's Tic-Tac-Toe using the same set.

The dies are from Waffle Flower Print and Script Merry Christmas. They're a great size for cards and I'm so glad I bought them.

Here are some fun memes to finish off with...

Have a happy day, peeps...

Hocus Pocus again!

I love this pumpkin image from Penny Black's Spooky - isn't it fun! I Picked up this set recently on eBay and am struggling to find a current link. I don't often make Halloween cards, but this year getting a little bit spooky seems to be hitting the spot!

Lost Coast Designs is a fabulous challenge blog and a great online store too, so why not click the links and go take a look!

I'm also linking my pumpkin card over at Art Impressions Challenge #162 where they're playing Give Us a Fright! Renee's lantern makes on this post makes are amazing!

And here's another version of the card I posted yesterday featuring a gorgeous image from Angie Blom.

She was such fun to colour.

Happy Sunday, peeps!

Hocus Pocus...

I love this adorable digital image from Angie Blom and was so happy to find time to print her out and get colouring.

I did some random stamping to create the background using a very, very old stamp that really is on it's last legs! I'm surprised it didn't disintegrate half-way through. I love how the embossed card base looks - it doesn't show up that well in the picture. I think it's a Stampin' Up! folder, but it's an eBay buy and wasn't labelled.

Lost Coast Designs is a fabulous challenge blog and a great online store too, so why not click the links and go take a look!

Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge - Day #11

I'm back today with two more cards featuring images from our sponsors and made for the tribute challenge for Janis over at The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge

Card #1 features a gorgeous kitty and sentiment from Jane's Doodles at Creative Expressions. Isn't this a lovely image?

For my second card today I used Waffle Flower Flora Cat Play and a real oldie (now unavailable) from Craft Asylum called I love the Snow and You.

I used a non-Christmas image, but went for a traditional Christmas palette for this card. I think it works ok. I do love to use red on my Christmas cards.

I very much hope you're playing along with this challenge to remember our friend and fellow card maker. There are so many lovely cards to see and some great prizes too, so please come on over and take a look.

I'm going to link my first card to Gail's Tic-Tac-Toe which you can find here on Day #8 of our challenge. I loved revisiting some of Janis's gorgeous cards on Gail's inspiration board for this challenge and am so grateful she put this together for us!

Someone should make a stamp of this!

The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge - Day #5

Hi, I hope you're playing along at The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge where we remember and share our memories of our dear friend Janis Woolbright. It's Day #5 today, and we have more sponsors to share!

I'm over on the Challenge sharing a card by Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

Here's what I made:

Unsurprisingly, this stamp is called Fat Cat on a Scale. I quite like the slightly retro look this card has, some of which is due to the colour combo and paper patterns.

This cute guy is called Black and White Cat. I added a Santa hat to make him a little more festive and created the sentiment on my PC.

Another card company I love is Colorado Craft Company. I'm so grateful that they are also one of the sponsors for The Cat Lovers Hop.  I have a real weakness for their Anita Jeram stamps and already have this little beauty on My Wishlist!

This card was such fun to make using a combination of images from CCC. The cat in the hat is from this set, the suave kitty in the bowtie is from this set and the sentiment is from this set.

I hope very much that you'll head over to The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge and come play along! We have some great cards in the gallery AND some heartwarming comments to read about our dear friend Janis.

If cats sent cards...

Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge - Day #4

I'm playing along on Day #4 of The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge where we're remembering The Cat Lovers Hop founder Janis Woolbright by creating cat-themed Christmas cards.

One of our sponsors today is Your Next Stamp and I created this little card using one of my most favourite of Karen's cute stamps.

Sadly, YNS owner Karen is closing her store this month. However, she's still offering a surprise grab bag of YNS products to one lucky random winner from our challenge.

I had such fun paper piecing that present and the tiny bow. I've no idea why I set myself such an eye-achingly difficult challenge, but I'm pretty pleased with the end result. I needed a coffee after doing that I can tell you!

The cute die is from MFT and I loved how well it framed the cat. Apart from the paper piecing, this card came together so easily it felt like cheating.

Isn't this just the cutest badge? I'm linking my card at Fiki's fun challenge: Show US Your Pussycats.

The pretty papers all came from my Snippets Box, so I'm going to link to Snippets Playground Challenge #464. There are some gorgeous cards in the gallery, so why not head on over and take a look

And please don't forget to come and play at our current Christmas Kickstart Challenge

The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge - Day #3

I'm just dropping by to share this card I created for The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge where we are remembering our dear friend Janis Woolbright.

Our sponsor being showcased on the blog today is Art Impressions and I'm a BIG fan. It wasn't difficult to find a stamp from my collection to use for the challenge as I have quite a few in my stash!

Ever feel like you may be looking at your future self? I do love this adorable image and what a lovely Christmas morning this would be! This fun stamp comes from a set called Crazy Cat Lady and Art Impressions have kindly offered it as one of their prizes for our challenge.

I'm also linking this card to the current AI Challenge Christmas Come Early - which has been scheduled to coincide with our Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge

To find out all the details of how to sign up for the Cat Lovers Challenge please head to Day #1 here. Did I mention there are prizes?

The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge

I'm so happy that this day has finally arrived and we're ready to play The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge and remember our dear friend Janis Woolbright.

For many crafters October meant Janis's Cat Lovers Blog Hop, and all the excitement and furry fun that this would bring. Sadly, Janis passed away in January of this year. At this time I was planning my year ahead for Christmas Kickstart and thinking about how I could do a tie-in with Janis's Hop for October 2023. I was going to ask her to be my October guest designer/elf and offer to assist with her hop; however the news of her passing overtook everything.

Like so many, I was deeply saddened by Janis's loss. I wanted to do something to pay tribute to her and the lovely person that she was. Back in January I wrote a brief tribute post about Janis. However, this just didn't seem like enough and I couldn't put the idea out of my head of wanting to do something more. I emailed her son, James, to run an idea past him and together we discussed what has become this challenge. James was so kind and so encouraging, and I'm honoured to have his and the family's blessing to remember Janis in this way. Thanks James; I hope we do your mom proud over the next few weeks. I am honoured that you've agreed to let me do this.

Please head on over to The Christmas Kickstart Challenge for all the info on how this challenge will work, to meet my Dream Team of helpers and read our list of fabulous sponsors!
