Lily Corsages

Hello Everyone!

I made these corsages using the Sunrise Lily Collection this week!  I really had no idea if this was going to be an easy project or not, but once I had all my materials ready, they literally took less than half an hour to assemble both of them!

I created all the lilies first from white cardstock, sponged on yellow and pink ink and used green Viva 3D stamp paint for my leaves.

I had some small craft sticks (or are those coffee stirrers??) that I used as my base. I hot glued some gathered tulle fabric onto the sticks, then added my flowers, tucked in the leaves, sprays and ribbon.  No real plan, just sort of followed some googled photos of corsages that I found to get the design somewhat realistic!  Once the corsage was assembled, I turned it over and hot glued a jewelry pin blank to the stick so they could be pinned on your favorite Mom, Easter Date, etc.!

So this turned out to be much easier than I expected and now I have plenty of lilies left over to make several more to give away as gifts! I'm also thinking it's a fun way to use up some of the other leftover Heartfelt flowers I have waiting to be used on a project!!  "Bonus!"

The specific, step-by-step instructions are on today's blog at Heartfelt Creations!  Leave me a comment if you make some too!  I'd love to come see your work!!

Sunrise Lily Frame

Hi Everyone,

Today's post features the new and gorgeous Sunrise Lily Collection from Heartfelt Creations!  I can't tell you how much I love this new flower!  It is simple to color, easier than ever to assemble and the 3-D effect is crazy beautiful!!

For my project, I used a yardsale-find frame that I cleaned up a bit.  I covered the inside display area with a card panel from the Sunrise Lily Paper Collection and stamped my sentiment.  From there it was just a matter of inking up the lilies, die cutting the pieces, and assembling them on my frame.

You can find all these HC Products that I used on this frame at Heartfelt Creations:
HCDP1-263 Sunrise Lily Paper Collection
HCD1-787 Sunrise Lily Die
HCPC-3720 Sunrise Lily Cling Stamp Set

Card Catch Up!

Hi Everyone,

I'm posting several cards today to try to get a little caught up on some card making I've been doing this summer.  I've been side-tracked by some other crafty projects that aren't necessarily cards, but I'm definitely having fun.  I'll try to get more of those projects up here too.  Meanwhile . . .

Here's my first card that I made for this week's Inspiration Challenge that I'm hosting.  The webstore is "Poketo" and I chose this "Andrea Kang Wallet 2" as my inspiration.  I wanted to make a card in the pink and grey color scheme, but when I sat down to do it, it didn't turn out anything AT ALL like I was envisioning.  I'm a much better artist in my imagination LOL!!  The dies used for this card are Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterfly Small, Mini Fanciful Flourish.  Marianne Design #LR0202 border, Oval Nestabilities.

I had fun making this next card for my Nephew's BD.  I used three tiny stamps of strange, little bald men that I've had for awhile.  They're from an Etsy website called "Pictureshow."  Their stamps are so funky and retro and I just love them. On this card, I fussy cut the little men and had them grabbing onto a banner that says "Happy" as part of a birthday sentiment that seems to be getting away!

This next card is one I made using a Tim Holtz Blueprint Series stamp set called "Vintage Things".  The images all look like they are still in draft stage on a blueprint.  I embossed the image and sponged colors over the areas kind of randomly.  I dressed it up with some ivory seam binding, a Prima rose, a swirly metal finding and some tiny pink plastic flower buds.

This next group of cards go all the way back to Easter!  Yup, that's how behind I am on posting.  (The lead card for this post up at the top is a close-up of one of them.)  The cards were made using bubble dome kits that I bought at a Scrapbook convention in January.  I tried to find more on line but the store that had them at the show didn't sell them on line.  The good news is, I went to a convention last month and Sizzix now carries a slightly different version - at a much better price!  They are "Susan's Garden" Domes, Item #658434 if you're interested in trying them out.

For these Easter themed cards, I found some vintage background printables on-line and used them for the backdrop of the dome.  Then I just proceded to fill it up with flowers and do-dads and it just could not be easier to create a WoW! card!

This next card is made with a new Heartfelt Creations stamp set that I got that coordinates with my Spellbinders Tattered Blossoms dies.  I stamped the image onto white CS, then die cut the two smallest sized blossoms and layered them over the stamped image.  I added Stickles and bling centers.  The sentiment is SU Perfectly Penned.

And the last one for this posting is an Anniversary card that I paper pieced and colored with Copics.  The stamp is by Art Impressions.  I actually made two different ones but apparently I only photographed this one for some reason!

TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

More Love Fest Cards

Hi Everyone,

I've been making cards for the Love Fest Challenges on SCS again this weekend.  I'm also incorporating a few other cyber challenges along the way, so below are the cards I've created for all of them today.

The first one above is for the "Die Crazy" Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week's IC.  The webstore for the IC is "Designs by Lucinda".  How could I not participate in that challenge when my MOM'S name is Lucinda!!  How fun!!

I used three dies on this card: "Absolutely" by Simon Says, A Sunburst from Lil Inker Designs (I love the way the die creates little perforations around the edges!), and a Cuttlebug trees die (one of those older silver-toned squares).

The paper is "Earth Love" by Cosmo Criket and the sentiment is the coordinating stamp set from Simon Says that goes with the "Absolutely" die.  I free hand cut the banner.  To cut the "hills", I used my fun new Kiwi Lane Design "Sentiments" template set that I won from the Scrapbook Expo yesterday!  (It's so much more fun to  "win" a new toy!)

This next card is for the Inspiration Challenge hosted by the Cats Pajamas.  I always have a hard time with the gray/yellow color pallet that was in the inspiration piece, but I gave it a shot anyways since I had some new stamps to play with (again from yesterday's Scrapbook Expo)!  All the stamps used on this card are by Rubbernecker.  The flowers are "Poppy Layers", the background is "Victorian Lace" and the the sentiment is "Easter Blessings."

I stamped my background, the images and sentiment onto white CS, die cut the shape then mounted it onto a gray panel. I added some jewel bling just to balance it out, but overall, left it pretty simple. The die I used is from SU Labels Collection.

This card is for three challenges.  The "Make My Day" Lovefest Challenge hosted by MFT; the current "Case Study #129" Challenge; and the current "
